Customer Reviews Hedgren Classic Harpers RFID Crossbody Shoulder Bag

I originally bought this item in the Dress Blue 1 color to use for travel since it was a crossbody (comfortable), lightweight, and had RFID protection. However, upon getting it home and prior to travel, I returned it. The size of the bag was perfect and fit well; I even tested putting a water bottle in it and it fit without an issue. My problem with the bag was the interior, which was lacking in features found in other bags. The RFID protection is contained in a small removable pouch which was attached to the bag via the same kind of plastic string used to attach price tags to clothes, so it wasn't permanent. This wouldn't have bothered me, but once unattached, there was no way to secure the pouch inside the bag since the bag did not have any sort of key ring or fastener. Since I bought the bag for travel and security is very important to me, I returned the Hedgren and ended up purchasing a Travelon bag instead.

I got this for my Mom for her birthday and it is her favorite bag. The free extra RFID bag is a great feature (sometimes she just grabs that to go out) as well as the tablet pocket in the back. She lives in NYC, Boynton Beach Florida and we also have a lake house in Blairsville, GA. Every place we go people comment on this bag.

I'm looking for a compact, lighweight RFID crossbody bag to take to Europe -- ideally a purse that's secure without too many bells and whistles, but also attractive and doesn't scream "TOURIST" (even though that's what I am!) This is not it. The description and video indicated that it should come with an RFID pouch (a huge selling point!), but the bag I received didn't have one. It's lightweight, but too bulky to wear crossbody. The shiny fabric and strap made it look cheap and unattractive. Basically a big, tacky bag, definitely not a keeper for what I need.
