I needed to replace the original Sorel Nakiska Slides that I love. But this new version is definitely not the same. It is shorter and and has a leather heel lip that makes it impossible to wear if the foot is not all the way forward. Getting the next size up would probably make it too wide and still not solve the heel lip problem. Having RA in my feet makes it difficult to find shoes that are tolerable to wear and unfortunately I have lost another choice.

They may be a little pricey but you will not find a better slipper. Comfortable, well made and the sole lasts forever. I won't buy any other brand.

I am really disappointed in this slipper and it is not really comfortable with the lip on the back! I have always purchased Sorel and the original Nakisha Slide was my go to slipper! This style has a slight lip on the back.....so to be quite honest, I cannot say this would be considered a “slide”. I can see that by wearing this “new” style, that lip is going to be non-exsistant. The faux-fur is in no comparison with the original. I did call Sorel prior to purchasing this slipper and they did replace it and advise me that there could be the older styles out in stores and to check there. I was sorry to spend the time looking as I wear a size 12, the sizes in stock at the other stores were maybe 1 or 2 sizes and very little inventory. I had no doubt a size 12 would be found. I am really upset that they discontinued the original and replaced it with this style. I am still pondering if I am going to keep this “new” style or return it for credit.

Terrible product. I have been wearing Sorel for years and this is the first time I thought they were cheap, terrible quality and not worth paying any price for. I will return and if Sorel doesnt change the cheap quality, I will not purchase Sorel again.

I read some of the reviews about quality and thought "It's Sorel, they can't be that bad", but it's true. The insole on one of the slippers was already separating from the rest of it. For the price, these should be amazing. I was also hoping for more arch support. They are going back.

I wear a 7M in flats and have very high arches. This slipper fits very true to size and it is not too snug for my feet. I really like the non-slip sole as it is perfect for my hardwood floors. I have worn Haflinger slippers for years but have they are not super cozy for northern winters. I will continue to purchase this slipper for years to come.
I'd also recommend:

These slippers are a great replacement for my old Sorel slippers. Comfortable, cozy, & warm. I love the bit of arch support, which the UGGS I tried did not have.

I have been buying this exact Nakiska slide slipper for years. I know the size, I know which color and I'm done. I purchased my next backup pair last week and thank God I tried them on before putting them away for next fall. They feel different. The feel more cheaply made (not as much cushioning and stiffer). They also feel somewhat short even though I sized up being that I am a true 7 1/2. I can't believe that I have to send them back and start my journey over looking for my go-to slipper to wear around the house. Not what I was expecting leaving me so disappointed since I always really liked this slide.

I have owned many pair of slippers, most being cheaper brands. I splurged on these Nakiskas hoping it would help with foot/back pain I endure after standing so many hours while baking and cooking during the holidays. Imagine my disappointment when a couple weeks into owning them, the inside liner already started ripping. They won't even last a full winter. Super disappointed. And I'm not a very heavy person, so I don't understand how poorly they've held up.

My daughter bought these for me four years ago, and even though I have worn out one of the toes (on the upper), I still wear them. They are the best slippers ever. The soles are still intact. I did ad, very cheaply, a new insert. Highly recommended!

Very comfortable! Not much arch support but I don't really expect slippers to have any. They do have padding in the sole which makes them much more comfortable, and a small lip at the heel that will help keep me from walking out of them. Keeping these!

Those Sorel Nakiska are exactly what I wanted. They are comfortable and warm, but not too much. They stay well in the feet. I have a short but wide feet and they are perfect for me.

I tried these on in a store but they didn't have the color I wanted to I purchased them online. I usually wear a 9 1/2 but bought a 9 since it fit in the store. They were a little snug when I first received them but as the lining settled down a few days later, they fit perfectly. They are really comfortable and warm and I like that the sole doesn't clop on the floor but is more muffled. There is enough support that I don't feel like I'm walking out of them. I'm really happy with them and they wash up well too since I dropped a pan from the oven and they were covered in potatoes. I would definitely recommend them over the three letter, very expensive slippers which I thought were not nearly as comfortable.

Love this slipper because it cradles my feet perfectly. I live in Florida and yet my feet are not hot in these slippers. Very satisfied!

They’re fluffy and warm. The little lip in back doesn’t bother me but why do brands have to sew their name label right in the heel where it’s annoying? These also don’t have any support. I’m keeping them for middle of the night easy slip ons but got others for all day wearing around the house.

True to size, generous toe box, zero drop but supportive sole, plush and rugged. Just what I wanted to wear around the house all season. Would order again. I can wear these with medium to thick socks or no socks. I have a size 8 medium width foot with a medium to high arch.

Comfy. They are easy to put on without hands...aka just slide feet in and go. They don't slip on the floor. The sole is solid enough to feel good about wearing them outside but also soft enough to not be uncomfortable if you curl up on the couch with them on. They are warm and oddly my feet don't sweat in them like they do in my other leather and wool slippers. I bought these to replace an older pair of Sorel slippers that is no longer made. I was grumpy because the sole had worn out on them too soon. And my husband laughed at me and said 15 years probably was not "too soon." I guess tie flies. A solid slipper. Thanks, Sorel, I'd buy again without hesitation.

Very comfortable. I like the indoor/outdoor soles - if you need to run out to the garage, or that patio, or the mailbox at the end of the driveway

Perfect fit right out of the box. I’m a size 8, but sometimes I wear 8.5 if a shoe runs a bit narrow. I bought these slippers in gray, size 8. I wear them without socks, and they are super comfortable. I especially love that they don’t have that lip in the back like some slippers. These are my favorite slippers that I’ve worn in a long while!

Go a half size up! These are so cozy. Not like walking on a cloud cozy, more like a hug for your foot. They're very supportive. I got sick and tired of cheap slippers that flatten and wear out in a month. Decided to go for something a little more substantial and these hit the mark! Definitely have to wear them in a bit, but that's true of any slipper. If I had ordered my normal 8.5 they would have been uncomfortably small. I will never understand why such a high quality shoe company struggles so much with their sizing! I own 5 different pair of Sorels in 4 different sizes! Read reviews and follow the sizing chart that says whether they run small or large.

I wear an 8 in most shoes and an 8 fits in this slipper. I bought these to replace an old pair just like them. They were getting worn, but I only replaced them because I left mine behind in a hotel. They're warm, comfortable, and I can slip in and out of them easily. Good shoes.

Wonderful slippers. A bit tight at first. If you don't want to compress the lining as much, definitely order larger. But they're warm, comfortable, and convenient. Plus they don't make a lot of noise since the sole is a softer rubber.
