I've been a faithful fan of the original Nakiska slipper for years, and like some other reviewers, don't feel this new iteration is an improvement. Thought the slightly higher heel would be a plus, but it is harder to get into, and the whole shoe feels less roomy, especially in the toe box. I ordered my usual size of 8, and it felt too small. While another reviewer said they eventually stretch and the fur compresses to enlarge the feel, by the time that happened, if it happened, they wouldn't be returnable. Going to try the Sorel Men's Falcon Ridge II and see if it works, because the only other Nakiska is the slide. Just one more note, looking at the reviews: this slipper does not have arch support. It also seemed (again, compared to the original version of this slipper) that I could feel the floor more through the sole. Sorel: Customers don't necessarily want innovations to tried-and-true models, especially slippers. Please consider bringing back the old Nakiska. Thanks, Zappos, for making the search for comfortable shoes more bearable.

I have had two of the first Nakiska model, and looked forward to ordering it again. Alas, they've swapped it out for this design, the Nakiska 2.0. The new one is difficult to slide into without a helping finger pulling up the back of the heel. In addition, it felt narrow (which I liked) but also short, which I wasn't willing to tolerate. I fail to see how the 2.0 is any improvement, and will have to return them.

I loved the original model. I live in my slippers. This model.. not so much. I agree the other ones were easier to get in and out of but my problem was how quickly they fell apart. The originals lasted a year. These 2 months. The fluffy inside didn’t last. And I have never had this happen... THEY SMELLED. Very disappointed. Looking for new brand.

My feet run very cold and I needed slippers w/support and traction for drafty wood floors. I purchased Sorel Nakiska Bootie, Nakiska II Slipper + Out N' About Bootie all in size 7- my size for Sorel Whitney outdoor boots. With Smartwool socks worn w/each, the Nakiska II fit perfectly and looked great, but my feet were still cold. The Out N' About is cut to jut in at the ankle (see side photo) so it pushed my foot forward and my toes hit the front while walking. This is a shame b/c the faux fur lining was the nicest though I would have preferred the design didn't skimp on the exterior fur in the front which makes them look odd. The bottom was rugged which I liked but it also made them look like outdoor boots. The removable insole had soft faux fur and no tag to rug your foot (see photo), but felt really hard and less supportive compared to the Nakiskas. The Nakiska Bootie was 1/2 size too large and I needed to reorder a 6.5- my actual normal shoe size. The enormous "SOREL" stamp looks awful. The liner looks cheap like a fleece shirt whose fur gets clumped together in the dryer. The tag on the bottom insole rubs 1 foot b/c of how it's sewn so I needed a replacement. I also felt that denim would rub off and discolor the light tan suede so I switched them for grey. However- these keep my feet VERY toasty and had good grip so they won. I really hope the pebbled rubber sole is more durable than it looks and does not crack or come apart at the seams. PS- both Sorel Booties look wide and kind of dorky. I hope Sorel will design something stylish, soft, warm and durable next year.

At first I thought they were too snug and needed more wiggle room but after wearing them they seemed to have conformed to my foot and feel very comfortable. I still wish they were perhaps 1/4 to 1/2 inch larger in the toe area but the heel is perfect for my narrow heel. Plan to wear without socks or they would definitely not fit. I am more than pleased with the color and stability of the sole. Am tired of all the black soled slippers that mark up white floors. I usually wear 9.5 and ordered size 10.

My first pair of Sorel slippers. Love this slipper so much that I purchased a pair for my mother for Christmas! I like the fit as it doesn't slip off my heel and it doesn't look bulky on my foot.

FINALLY I’ve found some warm slippers that will stay on my narrow, very low-volume feet! Thank you Sorel and Zappo’s! All today’s “scuff” styles don’t work for me, as I just walk right out of them, and most other slippers with a closed back I walk and it’s like a flip-flop. These are perfect!! My husband actually teases me b/c I’ve spent the last 3 winters hunting for the perfect slipper and then found these last year. I’ve had them over a year and can say they are fantastic! I’ll be ordering another pair to have on hand as a backup in case this style changes or gets discontinued.

I love these slippers. Bought them for a hospital stay. Easy on and off without worrying about keeping them on your feet. Feet are toasty but not sweaty

LOVE these slippers! ...so cute on and they really worked for me on the comfort factor. My go-to winter slippers are Ugg Coquettes, but the price is a little prohibitive, so for my new slippers, I chose these instead. I needed something casual and warm for around the house, but I can't really wear those cheaper squishy foam bottom slippers. I prefer something with a firmer sole for stairs and long periods of standing, with just a hint of support and these fit the bill. I like that they are actual slippers, not slides, and so feel very secure on my foot. I wear them with thin wool socks - or sometimes barefoot. The lining is toasty warm and I also like that the faux fur insoles are removable so eventually I could add a thin cushioned insole pad underneath, if needed. The waterproof outsole is great for quick runs to the mailbox and such. I'm usually a 9 or 9.5 and I got these in a 9. They were a bit snug for the first few days, but now have molded perfectly to my foot. Gray suede uppers are very pretty, too.

I love these! Super soft, warm, and comfortable. Toe area is wide enough to let your feet relax. Fit true to size. Light arch support but not a lot. Lining will conform to your feet over time, so don't worry if they're a little snug at the start. Love the rubber sole so I can wear them without sliding inside, and can wear them outside. I've had several pairs of UGG slippers in the past few years, and I like these much more. Would love to see Sorel offer them in fun colors too!

Love these slippers so much, I purchased a second pair. I sized up a half size because I like to wear socks with them and my foot is a little wide. Great quality! Nice soles you can wear outside,I have two dogs so this is a must. I love purchasing shoes from Zappos! They are the best.

These were not comfortable-rubbed on feet-I loved the original Nakiska with the Sherpa that went all around the back, so sad they don't seem to be making them now, I don't care for the Nakiska II at all :(
