I bought these for a trip to the north of Sweden in December. Comfort and warmth are great. Worked well in snow and temperatures above the Arctic Circle. I used a heavy wool sock with them. My dissatisfaction is that after only a FEW uses on the trip, the laces shredded. Since they were new boots, I didn't bring spares. When I contacted the parent company they said there was nothing they could do and suggested I check sporting goods stores to buy new ones.

these are the best boots ever! I have a hard time finding shoes or boots that fit, are totally comfortable and look great. These are amazing in all ways. I struggled with the price, but decided they would be an excellent investment!

Expect the laces to last only a few wearings (see pic). Warranty department at Columbia/Sorel told me they don't provide replacement laces, the easiest possible fix on a warranty claim for $199 boots, yet this was too far a reach to make a customer happy (pathetic). I DON'T RECOMMEND purchasing anything made by Columbia/Sorel as they don't back up their products. They had me, lost me - never again.

Hiked four miles in Boulder in February — with no socks — and my feet stayed dry and warm! Love these boots.

I am consistently a 10.5, and these feel snug but unfortunately they don't have 11s in stock in the gray. I love the style but both shoes came very scuffed up in the toe, and for $150 I don't feel I should settle for pre-scuffed boots. The sole feels very hard but an insert should easily take care of that. These boots are exactly what I've been looking for when it comes to style and warmth so I am excited to exchange for a newer looking pair.

It has not yet started snowing in the Midwest, so I have only tried these on and walked around the house. I can't attest to how they will hold up or feel after a real outdoor walk. But they feel comfortable and supportive at home! I have flat feet and am normally between an 11 and 12. I went with the 12, which will work - even with thick socks and my orthotics. I wish the insole came out, but they still were okay with my orthotic in them. I also wish Sorel would make a sturdy snow boot that had both laces (to get the proper fit) and a side zip (so they don't take forever to get on and off). But I hope it will be worth the work when the weather gets cold and slippery. Also, they're cute. I chose the Quarry (gray) and I love how they look for a snow boot.

These were absolutely perfect. I've never had winter boots before, and needed a pair last week for a trip to NYC. They kept my feet warm and dry in rain, and allowed me to walk around without worrying about slipping on snowy sidewalks. They are pretty heavy, so note that. I have wide feet, and I sized up about 1/2 size to 8.5 and they were fine. I wore them with thick socks, and they still fit fine.

I ordered MANY different boots. I was looking for cute, warm, traditional Sorel boots. These felt great right away. They're a tad clunky, which I expected because of the style. After just a couple of wearings they are super comfortable. I ordered a sz 11; I usually wear a 10.5 shoe and 11 boot. The 10.5 boots were way too small.

These are great boots. Well made and very warm. I'm normally a 6.5 with a slightly wide toe box (6.5W in running sneakers). Base off of other reviews I was worried they might be a bit narrow (and worried that the structured form/firm leather would not stretch), so I purchased a 7. They are plenty wide, with enough room to fit pretty thick socks. I wouldn't size up if you 1) have normal feet 2) don't plan on wearing thick socks. I have yet to wear these in extreme weather, so I cannot comment on how they hold up in these scenarios.

The fit was good and the quality seemed great. But it was just a little too heavy for my comfort.

I gave these boots a test run with 8 days hiking in the Swiss alps over the holidays. My feet were 100% dry, warm, and comfortable the whole time. I did have a custom insole inserted which may have helped. Traction was good, although i used a rubber crampon on the icy mountain trails. At the end of the trip— they still looked like new! These are a little more expensive than the normal Sorel price point but to me were well worth the extra $$.

I really love these boots! I have them in gray. I didn’t expect to like them after reading the reviews, but I love Sorel and I knew with Zappos amazing service I could send it back if I didn’t like them— but, I do! I get lots of complements when I wear them. I use them to walk the dog in the morning (temps 0-30 degrees, rain, snow, slush, etc.), run errands and I plan to use them for snowshoeing. I was looking to replace a similar boot from TNF and there was a similar boot by Ugg that was twice as expensive which made me even happier to try this offer on Zappos. I only gave 4 stars for “comfort” because the arch support isn’t great— but in defense of the boots, I have fairly high arches, so I think these would be fine for most. Another thing I really like is that they are light weight, so snowshoeing really should be no issue. Oh and the laces, they untied a lot- they aren’t coated, so they untie and you are re-tying a lot... so I can see why they fray like the reviews said, but so far a double knot took care of the issue. Supper happy! Make this purchase, it’ll be worth it!

Loved the look of this boot but the instep is too narrow

These boots are so warm and comfortable!! They keep my feet warm and dry in the Chicago cold and snow. I originally ordered a size 8, which I normally wear. I returned them and ordered a size 9. With the extra thick ski socks I wear with boots, they fit perfectly. I have several pair of Sorel boots and rain boots and love them. High quality and Zappo’s prices are better than local stores. Super quick shipping was a plus too!

I’m 71/2 wide feet. Ordered 71/2 as I don’t plan to wear thick socks .. they fit perfectly!! I bought tried so many sorel snowboots but all of the others made my feet look like McDonald’s . This is very feminine shape by far!!!

Great looking boot but the sole felt cold with cold weather.

These are decent looking in terms of snow boots, but such a pain to get on and off. Why can't manufacturers make more winter boots with a zipper? I had to unlace these all the way to get them on, and it took far too long to remove. If they came with a zipper up the side I would have kept them. Size felt good, comfort was okay- they're a little stiff where they hit the lower calf, but not terrible.

I love the boots. However, the shoe laces did not hold up. I was very disappointed when both shoes laces broke 3 months after the purchase. I live in the South so I did not wear them a lot.

Great fit. I bought for my daughter who lives in DC and experiences cold wet snowy weather. These boots are amazing. They keep her feet warm and dry and they are very fashionable. She loves them.

Fit was perfect. I wear 7.5 and the boots are perfect with thick or thin socks. SO many compliments. Durable and great for staying warm in the Colorado cold!!
