Not as cute as I thought they’d be and not easy to get on! Ordered half size up per other reviews and could have easily done a full size up to accommodate the difficulty to get on.

I ordered a half-size up, at the advice of the reviews (I usually wear a 9, can swing an 8.5 sometimes, rarely a 9.5). The 9.5 of these felt too roomy with standard socks. I put them on with thicker socks and they fit better. If you just want to wear short ankle socks, as these are short boots, then i’d just get your normal size. They felt roomy in general, not just in length but it width. My normal size would have been too small to wear with thicker boot socks. I’m also quite thin, so if you like boots that are tight around your ankles and you’ve got skinny legs, not sure if these will be for you. In general they’re cute and will hopefully stand up to winter!

I ordered an 8 (my usual size) and they were too short, so I ordered an 8.5. I'm surprised by how little the difference is between sizes, but it was just enough that they fit better. I am disappointed in the leather - the insides of both shoes show rub marks where they must have rubbed on the packaging. I am deciding whether to keep or return.

90% great: style, waterproofing, great sole traction. 10% less great: wide for my narrow foot and ankle. But thick socks make it work. I should have reviews before buying: Zappos suggested size 9 and reviewers said to order 0.5 size up. They are correct. Well, now I have the correct size and I had a comfortable, secure walk with my dogs in rain on slippery surfaces.

After reading reviews, I purchased this in a 1/2 size larger than my usual size. (In fact, I purchased it a 1/2 size larger than the other pair of Sorels I own.) It was the right choice for me. They fit fine with a regular sock but will also fit with a thicker sock. There isn't a ton of arch support, but I didn't find that all that different than other boots. Love the look, pleased with the water-proof option... overall, thumbs up!

These shoes run 1/2 size small. I normally wear a 9 but ordered 9.5 and glad I did.

These boots are 90% wonderful. The initial recommendation by Zappos was a size 9 -- my usual shoe size. I should have read reviews before ordering: these absolutely run 0.5 size small. Customer service was super helpful and I received the 9.5 pair in a jiffy. I have narrow feet -- why don't more brands offer narrow widths? -- and these are fine with thicker socks. Similarly my ankles are narrow and this style allows laces to be tied snugly. The sole grip is secure. Plus they look cool. Do not yet know about waterproof capabilities yet I remain optimistic. 10% not wonderful: more cushion in the insole would be nice but not a deal breaker.

I own three other pairs of Sorel boots in my normal size 9, but had to get these in a 9.5. I ultimately ended up returning them to Zappos because the pair they sent had defective stitching and scratches/felt like they had been worn or tried on too much but others. I bought the 9.5 elsewhere since I want new shoes to be actually new.

I should have listened to the other reviews!! This shoe runs VERY small. Usually, I have no problems with that — even when other reviewers say they run small. So bummed!!

These are very good looking waterproof boots. I usually wear 10.5N, and these in 11 are slightly too short. Although they are too wide for me, they're good enough with thicker socks and my orthotics and the laces pulled as tight as possible. It's so hard to find anything that really fits, that I'm very happy with these, and I love the way they look. I appreciate the reviewers who mentioned that these boots aren't warm. Good to know.

For me, it ran a half size small. The shoe appears to be good quality and it is comfortable out of the box. The one thing that would make it better would be a bit more cushion/thickness in the sole.

Cute boots, perfect for rainy falls days in upstate NY... we’re having many. No arch support.

I typically wear an 8.5, but when I tried it on, it was definitely too small. Size 9 fits much better. I like that these can lace up to be snug. I do wish they had a bit more arch support. Overall they seem to be comfortable for walking around. I just hope they keep my feet dry for years to come!

Had to return and get a 1/2 size bigger

Unfortunately they are too small. Ordered the next size up so let’s see how those work! Cute style.

These shoes are adorable but they run short in my opinion. I'm usually an 8 and these were too short. I can't really comment on how comfortable they would be because of that. Had to return. I ended up going with the Chaco Barbary which was SO COMFY and they did fit true to size!

I’m normally an 8 in most boots, flats, and running shoes. SORELs are a bit difficult to size. They’re always smaller than average. I’m a 9 in the Explorer Joan. Those were a bit long but good in width. After reading reviews for these I opted for the 8.5. They are a bit long but nothing too bad and a tiny bit narrow but they feel just fine. I think a 9 would have been much too long. Overall, these are comfy, lightweight, and freakin cute. I am concerned about quality. They look like they were glued together hastily and I’m not sure how long they’ll last.
