I ordered this boot in cattail and was a little bit worried about how the color would look in person but they exceed my expectations. What a rich, perfect color for fall and winter. The hardware is less intense in the gold color in person. Construction is of good quality and the boot has enough moto ruggedness without being too heavy. My only cons are that the boot feels tight and 1/2-1 size too small. This may not work for wider feet. This is something that I typically don't encounter with this brand or other brands. My boots feel like an 8 and I'm a 9. Size up. I also don't have wide feet. Size up and you have a winner!

I wore these boots to Disneyland on a rainy day, thinking they would keep my feet warm and dry. My mistake was assuming they would be SAFE. Yes, my feet were warm and dry, and the shoe is comfortable. However, this sole is NOT good for wet surfaces. I have Sorel Joan of Arctic Wedge boots that offer better traction than these. While walking among the slow moving crowds, I slipped at California Adventure and sprained my ankle, bruised my knees and abraded my palms. I wasn't in a puddle, nor was I making any quick turns. I literally was walking upright one moment, then on my hands and knees the next. I noticed once I got my boot off my swollen ankle that the logo on the bottom of the boot, which is a smooth rubber, is slightly more pronounced than the surrounding sole surfaces, and is centered where weight-bearing occurs. This seems to be a problematic design for my ambulation. I hope it was just a freak accident for me, and that nobody else experiences this.

Beautiful boot! Unfortunately, it is way too narrow. I normally wear an 8 and ordered an 8.5 and still could not fit the boot and had to return. Sorel did not design this one right.

The construction is what you would expect from Sorel, superior, but... I struggled to get them on. I don't have a high instep but the boots are pull on and it took me a lot of pushing and thin socks to STRUGGLE into the boot. Way too much effort. Also the thin socks defeats the idea of a boot for a cold winter. I'm disappointed they didn't work out, I waited two weeks for delivery. I recommend trying them on first, they run a little on the small side, I'm at 10. I ordered 10.5 for thick sock room.
