CAUTION: As of January, 2019, if you order the color “quarry “, you will receive a plain slate-colored pair with no “burnished toe” as described in the tab marked “Description”. In fact, the description states: “Waterproof nubuck leather upper with a burnished toe”. After the first pair was received recently, I called customer service and requested an exchange as this was not the pair that was described or that I purchased. The replacement pair came the next day, and it too, was the same plain gray pair with no burnished toe. I suspect there is one of two situations occurring: (1) The description or shoe model sent from Sorel to Zappos is wrong or (2) there is a warehouse bin mix-up. Either way, if you order the quarry pair and it comes from the Zappos Kentucky distribution house, chances are it will not be the burnished toe pair provided for in the description. Zappos is now doing a “bin check” which could take up to three weeks! THAT being said.... This is a great shoe and my second pair. I originally ordered the black pair directly from the supplier two months ago. However, when I saw that Zappos had a sale price, I ordered the quarry, too. I usually wear a size 9.5 in heels and 9.0 in flats and sneakers. For both pairs, I ordered the 9.5 and they fit perfectly. Based on my experience with the first black pair, they will stretch out comfortably but not too much so. I am able to wear thick socks after they stretch out, but not too thick. My feet tend to run on the wider side and again, after a couple two or three hours of wearing around the house, they stretched out perfectly but the width wasn’t too much of a problem to begin with. My suggestion would be to order a half size up from your normal flat or typical sneaker size. All in all, this is definitely one of the more comfortable winter shoes with heels that I have ever worn. If I ever get the second pair that I want with the burnished toe, I will have two great pairs of comfortable and stylish winter boots.

I put this in my cart as an afterthought, thinking, “nah,” but I got them and I’m like, “yeah!” The only pair of the small crowd I ordered that I’m keeping. Funny how that works! Super comfortable out of the box and true to size: I’m a 6.5 in sandals, 7 in trainers/ work shoes, 7.5 in boots and these were spot on. These have major style without being overly funky—right in my comfort zone. I’m digging them.

These boots are AMAZING! I’ve recently had a double knee replacement, so I was apprehensive to attempt wearing heeled boots again...SOREL for the win! These boots are super supportive, comfortable, and the wedge keeps you stable on your feet! I wish I had bought 2 pairs to have a backup in case I wear this pair out!

Very cute and comfortable. I’m an 8-8.5 and had to go up to an 8.5 because my high instep made it hard to get the boots on. But the 8.5 fits perfectly. Great traction for the winter.

Love these boots! I did have to go up a whole size larger than I normally wear. I tried a half size up first but they still felt tight, a full size up did the trick/ I bought these to be able to wear out on business meetings where it isn't as convenient to change from winter boots to dress boots. They keep my feet very warm. They are very comfortable, and look great with dress pants. I am very happy I purchased these. Zero complaints.

These boots are great quality and super comfortable. My only issue is that they are more grey than beige like they seem above. But the grey is still a nice color.

After reading other reviews, I ordered a half size up. Glad I did - left room for socks. Normally a size 7, I ordered a 7.5. Super comfortable - wore them all day to "break them in" but not necessary!

Like many of the other reviews I needed half a size bigger than what I normally wear in this brand. I am in love with this boot! It is so pretty and my husband calls it sexy. Very comfortable and so soft.

This boot is much narrower in the toe than other Sorel boots. I have two other pairs of their boots - the Joan of the Arctic tall and Joan of the Arctic wedge I. Both those have a rounder toe box leaving room for your toes to spread out more. Since the toe box of this After Hours boot is more pointed, it pinches your foot together a little bit more. I went a full size up (9.5 instead of 8.5) and even then, when I first put them on, I thought they might be too small. After wearing them for just a few hours they broke in and now they're just as comfortable as my other Sorel's. They are really easy to pull on and off without leaving too much room around the calf. I'd highly recommend.

These are really comfortable for 3" heels! I did end up getting half a size bigger than I would normally wear--they were just a little too tight to be able to wear with substantial socks at all. They did fit length wise. Just tight on the side. But they look GREAT and I love them.

beautiful quality, definately very small. I always wear a 9 and i couldnt even cram my foot into it in stockings!

Love this boot! Super stylish and comfortable. But note, I did purchase a full size up based upon reviews. It definitely runs narrow in the toe box as compared to other Sorels (and I have many pairs that normally run true to size). My feet are a bit wide, so usually order 7.5 - 8, but I got these in an 8.5 and 9. The 8.5 may have been ok, but my toes felt a bit squeezed, so I kept the 9, despite a little bit of heel lift. Have now worn them twice for evenings out, not a ton of walking, but was very comfortable in them . I would have liked if the leather had a smoother finish (appear "rustic" to me), but still love them.

I normally wear a size 8, depending on the brand of boots. I own another pair of Sorel's in size 8. I took the advice of previous reviewers, and purchased a size 8 1/2. I needed these boots for my surprise birthday vacation. When I tried them on, there was a lot of room (I do have narrow feet). I had to wear two pairs of socks to keep my feet from sliding around inside. I would say that these are true to size. Then again, feet do swell as the day progresses.

Loved the boot but felt a bit short in my normal size 7. Went to reorder the boot and it went from $225 to $300. Not worth that. Just returning and will look elsewhere.

Adorable boots! No zipper so they're comfy and can just pull on over ankle jeans. I'm not sure they look like $300 boots but after cashing in on my Zappos rewards I did a little better on these. Keeping them for sure!

These fit a little small. I usually wear an 8.5 in Sorel and bought an 8.5 and a 9. The 9 was too big but the 8.5 was a little snug. I kept the 8.5 knowing they would stretch a bit. These are the most stylish shoes and I feel like a boss when i wear them. There isnt much padding but the arch support is good. Worth every penny!

Love these boots. Every other pair of Sorel boots I have fit too big so I have to size down. These did not. Perfect fit. Lots of compliments.

I own several sorel boots and sandals all in my true size 8. I originally ordered these in an 8 and they were really tight on my foot! Around the leg was fine. I exchanged for an 8.5. Much better! They fit like the size 8 in all my other sorel boots. For me, these boots were 1/2 a size small.

I am usually a 9.5 or a 10. I ordered a regular width 9.5 and a 10 and I have to agree with the other reviewer that the sizing seems a little inconsistent. The length was almost identical between the two sizes with my toe very close to the end of the shoe in both. The 9.5 was actually looser in the heel than the 10. (Attached picture shows the two different sizes next to each other.) I don’t have a wide foot at all but the shoe feels quite snug against the widest part of my foot in both pairs. I plan to wear these mostly with tights and thin socks plus I think the leather will stretch - but people with wider feet might want to beware. I am 5’9” and would have loved if the shaft of the boot came a little higher and closer to my knee (there is a good 4” gap from the bottom) but having said that, I still love the way these look. I have narrowish calves and the width of the shaft is perfect - fits over leggings easily and skinnier skinny jeans with a little more effort. I bought these for throwing over my yoga pants and running around town on weekends but I think they are totally cute enough to wear under a dress to work as well. I cannot vouch for the waterproof-ness or sturdiness of these boots yet but I like them enough to justify the $$$ price tag - hope they hold up!!! (I believe I will keep the 10 but I ordered a 10.5 too just to make sure those don’t fit a little better lengthwise. Thank you Zappos for making this whole process so painless!)
