Great shoe, 2 pairs held up in constant cold down to -60 Celsius over a 9 day race and approx 1800kms in training and racing. Thick sole prevented frostbite on ice roads. Reason it's 4 stars is the shoe was not good for my gait or running style and would ruin me in the long term. Cannot run on asphalt needed extra cushioning from snow and ice to run safely.

I love the feel of the cushion overall. The only problem that I have with the shoe, probably because of the upper, is the weight of the shoe. Granted for its size it is light, it's just not what I was expecting from Hoka. Great on wet rocks, normal trail, and even road.

These shoes are good looking, very comfortable around the mid height collar. Because of other reviewer comments I sized up 1/2 size. I, thought it would be best for heavier winter socks. Shoes were too narrow in the width even in larger size that I wear in my Altra Olympus 3.0 and 3.5 But this shoe has incredible traction!!! I, purchased these shoes to try something different and waterproof shoe for winter time hiking in rain and snow.

sits higher than the clifton. so even with added ankle support, I didn't feel particularly confident in hiking non flat terrain.

I wanted to go with an even lighter and cushier shoe for long-distance backpacking on the AT. I like my Hoka Tor Mid shoe but I want to go even lighter. The issues I found make it unusable for me: it's too narrow with no room in the toe box. I have always loved Hokas for their roomy toe boxes, but this feels narrow like a Salomon shoe. I wish it came in a wide model because that might have done it. It also has a seam in the lining that runs right at my ankle bone and is extremely uncomfortable. The rest of the shoe seems awesome, so I'm really disappointed it doesn't fit.

love the shoe dont get me wrong. the only grip is after the shoe is laced up to fit well, you must fully loosen several strings to re-access the shoe without crushing the upper in the rear.

I have only one complaint about Speedgoat Mid WP, it is a very, very narrow shoe. I own the low cut Speedgoat trail shoe and knew the fit was tight and since I typically wear a size 12 in every shoe I own, I bought these and in size 12.5. Sizing up one half a size definitely helped a little, but I think I could have even gone one full size up and it may have helped by providing even more width. The performance of the shoe is phenomenal. Great traction in dry loose surfaces, rocks and scrambling up boulders. Moderate (not great) ankle support from the mid-cut upper, and the water proof feature seems to be actually working quite well as my feet have yet to get wet. Like all Hokas, these are like memory foam pillows for your feet. Also I bought these in both the colors offered. The black/grey/neon laces are really nice, the red/neon yellow sole are super bright and loud, but are very cool looking. Again, my only advice is to size up.

These were the only footwear I brought on a recent trip to Iceland. They were good for hiking up to a volcano, walking inside of a glacier, even running, including in rain, and looked plenty good enough for restaurants. My only complaint is that they are a bit too narrow or something in the toe box and I developed quiet the callous on the small toe on my right foot. I will not be wearing them again for a while.

This is a great product. My only down play on my purchase is that the tow box is to small on my left foot. Being that my left foot is smidge bigger than my right, it is only an issue for the left. With that being said, my feet a actually pretty narrow; so, I was surprised to find this issue to be persistent even after the break in period. It's a fantastic shoe. I would just warn anybody looking at these to check out the last of the show and to make sure that it is the right fit for you!

Bought this shoe for my trip to Scotland. The first time the shoes were too small and very tight. I exchanged then for a full size larger. The length was fine but the width is still too small. Ultimately had to return that shoe too.

I use these shoes for everyday walking and standing and I love them. However the shoes hard hard to put on. The back of the shoe has a soft part that bends and it doesn't have a strap that in the back to pull in back like my other shoes.

Take my comments with a grain of salt, as I did not actually wear these on the trails. They simply felt too narrow compared to other Hoka's that I wear of the same size, including the Clifton and Arahi.

This is an excellent product of itself, yet the sizing is only for those with narrow feet. I normally wear a size 10, I ordered a size 10.5 and size 11, they were still too narrow. Hoka, please make wider width sizes, I will buy 2 pairs.

these are the COOLEST LOOKING, but do not work well for some feet (like mine, which are super flat & have terrible achilles pain). i tried so hard to make these work but they just hurt, felt wobbly and off-balance......and hurt my pinkie toes....i was really sad. they are so cool looking. maybe for narrow / high arched feet they would be great.........but not for me.

These shoes are beautiful and they definitely had a lot of cushioning but they were unbelievably narrow. I ordered a half a size larger based on other reviews but I could barely get them on even then with a shoe horn so unfortunately I had to return them.

hoka needs to come out with more products that are wide shoes. there are a lot of people out there that have wide feet that would enjoy your shoes if you had wide sizes.

I really tried to like this shoe as I really need a waterproof outdoor shoe. However this shoe although true to size is very uncomfortable to me. Especially on my right foot. After three weeks this shoe has created a planters wart right in front of my arch. I know it is this shoe because I quit wearing them and went back to my Br--ks and it disappeared after a short time. A shame.

I loved my bondi 5 but every pair since then has been narrow. I have gone into multiple running stores and noT once have I had to buy a wide shoe unless it is HOKA. Apparently they made the new HOKAs narrower. So if you have a normal foot order wide and if you have a wide foot go w a different brand.

I like to buy mens shoes because they are typically wider, which I need due to having to wear custom orthotics. I typically have room. These shoes were tight though. If I go up a half size they will be too long, and not guaranteed they will be any roomier in toe area.

Heat to toe offset ratio was good, but shoe was way too narrow for my feet. I own the Hoka Akasa in wide and they're awesome. Was hoping these would work for winter time and weatherproof, but had to return them.
