Probably the most comfortable shoe I've been able to get away with wearing to work. I SUFFER from Plantar Fibromatosis, and when I am teaching I am on my feet all day (torture), most of the nodules in my feet are pea to lima bean size (3 -5 per foot, and yes I tried surgery). I've been looking for a long time for shoes I can wear to work that have the cushion of my old Bondi 5's. I'll admit that when I can get away with it I wear black/black Bondi 6's. My "custom" orthotics cost between $350-$600, and these shoes do a much better job of forming to my feet and providing cushioning.

I have a broke foot and these shoes are the only ones designed in a way that allows me to walk without pain. I really enjoy them, but I wish they were not so expensive. I typically go thru about 3-4 pairs per year and the durability is less than expected when. you spend this kind of $$ on footwear....Wish they were more durable or gave you discounts for multiple purchases...Still, the shoes fit and perform better than average!!

It is a good shoe, and the grey leather shoe is attractive, but don't go by Hoka recommendation for width. I've worn an adult D width. Hoka recommended a normal width. Instead, it is a must to get the "Wide" size, I have learned. My foot doctor had to stretch each shoe twice to relieve pain in the outer toes. And I used a traditional shoe stretcher at home a few times. My advice: don't take a chance on the "normal" width. I would buy the shoe again, I think, but I would try the "Wide" width next time. PS: I had tried two different Hoka running shoes, but they squeaked with every step around the tile floors in our house. I then tried the brown walking shoes--a bit too bold for shorts in the summer. I then ordered the gray walking shoes to wear with shorts or jeans.

I use it as a dress shoe so I don't wear it for a long duration but when I'm sitting' the top part at the end of the laces puts pressure on my foot and it starts to hurt. My other 2 pairs are the best all the time.

Needed supportive work shoe so was hoping this fit the bill. Bought the wide to accommodate met head issue however these shoes are too tight in the toe box and sit too low/tight across the top of the forefoot.

Love the comfort and feel of these shoes. I instantly lost the knee and lower back pains and my feet feel relaxed at the end of a day after wearing them.

I read several reviews about this particular shoe and bought a 9.5 size, up a half-size. In colder times I usually wear heavier socks so that's the reason why a little larger. Some people said to buy a full size. Haven't owned them long enough to judge the leather stability but the parts of the shoe I'm familiar with feel the same as my other Hokas. We'll see this winter how they holdup. I wanted brown leather to go with my darker winter color clothes. I'm retired but still work on-call basis so these are dressy enough but comfortable for work.

After walking in these for about a month, I'd describe them as the most comfortable "athletic" shoe I've worn in my life.

I had bad heel pain a few years back which was attributed to a high arch. Bought the Bondi 7 shoes and within 2 weeks pain went away. I have since then purchase various shoes made by Hoka and that is all I wears. The Gaviota leather is a recent addition and very happy!

I am a driver for UPS and I have been wearing these for the past 4-5 years. I walk about 10 miles a day so as you can imagine finding the right shoe is a top priority for me. The shoe is pretty light in weight and doesn't feel stiff. The final selling point is it is polishable leather and brown so it goes perfectly with my uniform.

When I recieved the shoe I was disappointed with color. It did not appear as in the web picture.
I was almost ready to send them back but after wearing them I loved the fit and feel and decided to keep them. Each day I wear them they seem to get better and better.

Just like my first pair of Hoka which I bought last April 2021 for my workout at home, this Gaviota leather delivered the same comfort when I walk in the park and do my volunteer work with Meals on Wheels.
