After enjoying my Bondi 5s so much, I recently ordered the 6'. Both models have similarities and differences. They are both plush, yet supportive. Both give excellent medial and lateral stability, because of the width of the sole in the midfoot area. Both models are not very flexible, but don't need to be, because they both have a meta-rocker sole that moves you forward onto your toes, instead of your forefoot and shoe flexing to do the same thing.
So what are the differences. The first thing you will notice different when slipping on the Bondi 6, is its larger toe box area. This extra toe room combined with more ventilation in what feels like a more durable fabric, makes wearing the Bondi 6 for an extended time a real pleasure. In spite of the larger toe box area, the Bondi 6 still clings to your mid foot and heel without slippage. (This is quite an accomplishment, I think, for a shoe that has so little flex to it. The 6 has accomplished this by having an improved heel counter along with an additional pair of lace holes compared to the 5.
Now you stand in your new Bondi 6 and feel another difference. There seems to be more even cushioning in the Bondi 6. This increased cushioning is most apparent in the metatarsal area of the shoe, where the Bondi 6 has evened the cushioning from the front to back. The 6s even cushioning, front to back, results in a more balanced stance and greater comfort, especially beneficial for those wearers who are standing on their feet all day or walking casually. However, a runner, might like the Bondi 5's lesser forefoot cushioning and greater responsiveness. The decrease in cushioning from back to front in the Bondi 5, combined with the meta-rocker sole, gives a runner a feeling that the shoe is propelling him forward. . With the 6, you still have the meta-rocker, but because the cushioning is even, you don't feel as much of a forward "push" from the 6, something that some people will like or not.

I never realized how important it is to have great running shoes, and now I do! Best 163 dollars I have ever spent

I started running in Hoka with the original Clifton and Clifton 2. I switched to the Bondi 4 for the taller stack height and more responsive cushion. At 200 lbs, I got more mileage out of the Bondi 4 as well. The original colorways of Bondi 5 were a better, lighter upper with a wider sole than the 4. Same cushy feel. But for the last year, the newer colorways of Bondi 5 have had an ultra firm midsole. I bought and returned at least four different pairs trying to find ones with the original feel. The only ones I found were the gray and navy ones with the gold accent. With 700 miles on my last pair I was waiting and hoping the Bondi 6 would be plush again. I pre-ordered a blue and orange pair and - thank you Hoka for fixing the midsole! These are nice and plush. Perfect cushion like the Bondi 4 and original Bondi 5. Maybe even slightly softer, but still with that rebound feeling at the bottom of your step. My knees loved these today. Good work Hoka! Please keep this midsole just as it is.

Just finished my first run on these new 6's. A 5 mile run. Love this shoe! Still have my Bondi 5's which I really like, but this shoe takes it up a notch. First thing you notice is the softer more comfortable upper tongue and ankle areas. Also the ride feels a little more cushioned even though it is still supportive. No back, knee or IT band pain even while running down step hills pounding the pavement. These shoes are great! Try them, you'll like them. 30 day guarantee. How can you go wrong.

Has cush and a rocker like the 4 with a fit and upper like the 5. Actually the upper is better than the 5. The plastic piece along the tongue is gone and over all it feels more breathable and flexable.

I've been running the Bondis since the Bondi 3 and just purchased the Bondi 6. I had to go up a half size as the toe box now feels more narrow - the change was made between the 4 and 5 I believe. No issues with the shoes feeling too lose 1/2 size up. I've run one marathon and 3 half-marathons all in Hoka Bondis and use them to train as well. They have been very comfortable and I've never had issues with blisters or hot spots. I use Superfeet Carbon inserts as recommended by the person who fits my shoes and this has been a great combination for my body and running style. Hoka was recommended to me by my physical therapist who is an Iron Man finisher. I do miss the speed laces on the Bondi 3s - remember those? They were cool ;).

Great style and functional design. My wife bought them for me. Had never heard of Hoka. I wear a 13 2E. These are Hoka Wide Width and fit perfect.
I'm a fussy, irritating guy when comes to shoes. Can't believe my wife hit a bulls eye for me.

Love the support, the fun colors, and the wide toe box is excellent after foot surgery. That said, the soles wear out fast. I’ve never had tennis shoes that wear out this quickly. My current pair was purchased in September and they already are mostly worn down on the bottoms. Shoe tops look new. I walk 5 miles/day but still. Shoes should last longer than that got the price they charge.

Wished for slightly less cushioning and more durability. 15 months seems not so long to have outer seam blowout

It's grey, but actually a very appealing color. I bought it 1/2 size larger but really didn't need to. Bondi 6 is a great shoe, can't wait to try the Bondi 7.

I bought these for my son who has a very narrow foot. He tried them, but they did not fit as well as his other brand shoes that work very well because of their particular "last." As I said, nice shoes (I love my Hokas) but not for him.

I loved everything about this shoe. The cushioning and the feel were great. Unfortunately, this is the second series of Bondi that I have tried that has rubbed a blister on the bottom part of my right heel. The Clifton's and other shoes have never given me this problem so there must be something in the specific heel design of the Bondi that causes this pain since it is present in both the Series six and seven.

Shoes feel good. Bondi is my go-to shoes for walking. Wish Hoka had the Bondi 6 in my size (12) and in a color other than white.

I am 60, and I have arthritis and this shoe is very cushioned, so it help with trigger points in my feet and ankles. Do you have a hiking boot?
