We purchased this pair of shoes because they looked comfortable and cute. Well, they made my son's feet extremely stinky. The smell is so horrific that when he comes from school and takes the shoes off I have to wash his feet with antibacterial soap like 2/3 times to wash the smell off. My son is only 6 years old. I wash these shoes every few days but the smell comes right back after first wear. In addition his feet developed some sort of rush on the soles of his feet. I would not recommend these shoes.

This brand of shoes has worked miracles. My little one used to trip constantly and once I purchased this brand which is formulated to help children splay there toes properly as they walk, the tripping stopped. This particularly model he’s wearing for summer is breathable, super flexible, and great for all kinds of summer activities.

I was in search of the ultimate summer water shoes for my preschool aged twins that they could use on splash pads, from playground to pool play, etc. and that wouldn’t cause blisters like some other shoes they’ve tried (stride rite). I had such high hopes for these- they looked like they had amazing grips for wet surfaces and the green tea infused foot bed to reduce bacteria stink- I was super excited. Plus they are washable too! I thought I hit the jackpot. These are adorable on them, but they have this awful awful stink that I could not get rid of. I found myself washing them after every use. Then I read up on another review about their kid getting thrush/fungal infection or something- forget it, don’t want to risk it- these are going in the trash. Such a waste of money and did not last me a summer season...so sad. They have other Tsukihoshi sneakers- no issues & I love them- but do not buy these water shoes!!

My 3 year old kept pulling at these when he wore them and eventually refused to wear them anymore. The instep was a rough mesh and uncomfortable for him. Maybe after they were broken in he might have liked them more or they would have softened up after we washed them, but we never got that far. Maybe try them with a sock at first and then try them on bare feet. I love the way this brand holds up so I was disappointed when we had to send them back.

We've been happy with all our Tsukihoshis until this pair. My son wore these for about an hour before I noticed him starting to limp. He said his feet hurt. Upon inspection, i found a a rough piece of fabric sewn across the inside of the heel piece. It had worn blisters on the back of both of his heels. Normally, I'd just say his feet need to adapt to the shoes, but this just strikes me as bad design. We returned.

I love Tsukihoshi shoes for my son, but their sizes are so inconsistent between styles. A good rule of thumb is that you need to purchase at least a half size to a full size smaller. Where my son wears a 12 Little Kid in Velocity, these 12s were HUGE on him! Fortunately Zappos has the BEST return/exchange policy.

Love the bright colors. The fact that it’s machine washable is fantastic! Incredibly easy to slip on. There is some excess glue where the sole meets the material, but it’s negligible.

Very easy on and easy off. They look great on, we're hoping they last a long time.

These are great shoes. My 3.5 year old can put them on and get them off himself with no problem. I ordered one half size smaller than the other Tsukihoshi shoes that he wears and they fit perfectly. He's been wearing them every day for a few weeks now and loves them.

My toddler loves these shoes. He had them last summer and they held up great. We bought them again because he loved them so much. Keep in mind they run HUGE. We ordered Tsukihoshi sneakers in a 9.5 and these in the same size. These are SO much bigger, almost a full size. So thye definitely run big and wide, but he loves them.

Such a great shoe! It's a like a sneaker and sandal. My son loves them. This is his second pair.

Love this brand!! My three boys love their Tsukihoshi sandals, easy to put on take off, and confortable to run around.

very light shoes for my 2.5 year old

First of all, my son LOVES this brand tennis shoes. We have never had the sandal version. I ordered 4 different sandals and he still picked out this brand. ?? I ordered a toddler 11M. (Which is the size tennis shoes he has in this same brand) They were huge! I held them both up and there was a difference. I am ordered a half a size smaller as well as a full size smaller to find the right fit.

There’s a seam inside the heel that’s huge and rough that makes my son freak out so he wore them once

The design of this shoe is terrible. As hasbeen noted in other reviews, there is a protuberance I'm the heel that WILL cause blisters. These are essentially unwearable for any length of time.

These are cute shoes. My 7 year old liked the look of them. However they are wide and there is no adjustment for the bungee cords. You can pull them tighter but since there is no clip they just loosen again. If your child has normal to narrow feet these may not work- they didn’t for us. We returned and bought Tevas that had a way to adjust (tighten) the bungees.

We ordered a 12.5 and this item was about a big kids 3-4. WAY TOO BIG!

A bit disappointed. It was EE which means extra wide. Material was a bit rough by touch. It did seem like it is quick dry and light material. One size too big if you wear Nike shoes. It looks like plastic put together shoes however the color is vibrant and shiny. Son did not get to wear it, it didn’t pass my inspection upon opening. I was looking for another new brand and style to replace our usual Keen Seacamp and it didn’t exceeded my expectation so I ended up ordering a keen seacamp again.
