If you've worn earlier versions of the GEL-Scram, then you'll get the same quality and fit with the 4. I love these shoes and I love ASICS.

They run half size smaller, had to order size 11 for my 10.5 size. The width is on a narrow side

These shoes feel very light weight, compared to other Asics shoes I've had, such as the Gel-Kahana. They have a minimalist feel to them. They're is some heal lift, so they aren't flat. If you are looking for a light weight shoe, this might be it. If you want something that feels real sturdy and supportive, this probably isn't it. I've been wearing them a couple weeks now, and I'm happy with them. Activities include weight lifting, jumping rope, light jogging and hiking. They felt really good walking up and down hills in the woods.

I've been wearing Asics for many years and a ton of miles. Ordering online is always a little iffy, but these came next day and fit perfectly. I ran in them the next day with no problems at all. Great shoes, and I don't know how Zappos gets them to you the next day, but I love it.

I like the shoe but very little arch support!

I actually replace my Five Ten Freeriders, which I found kind of heavy, with these. I chose them due to both the multitude of online reviews, and more importantly, the lug pattern on the outsoles. This allows terrific grip on and of my pedals with grip pins. I've found the fit to be perfect, and very comfortable. The little bit of walking I've done with them has also proven the shoes' worth. I highly recommend these, certainly for trail running and walking, but also for road biking with platform/grip pin pedals.

Perfect! Finally, after many attempts to find a pair of men's shoes to fit my big female foot, I've found my little piece of heaven! I tried and rejected several pairs of New Balance, Saucony and even a few styles of Asics. I've owned two pairs of Asics Gel Scram 3 in the past, and trying to replace the last pair has been an adventure. Finally, the new version Gel-Scram 4 appeared as an option, and I love it! The size and width are true to size for me, color is perfect and best of all, my two arthritic hammertoes are at peace. Love the all black with a touch of color at the toes version of this shoe. Thank you Zappos for your awesome policy, patience and friendliness. I now own a winner!

good shoe, but they don't stayed tied , even double knotted. Never had a shoe that is so consistent in coming untied.

Good fit. Appearance is consistent with photo. The arch support of the right-foot shoe felt excessive / uncomfortable; I ordered a second pair and they were perfect. I generally prefer New Balance because of comfort and durability but these are good, especially the low price.

I have worn the Scram for a couple of years now as a casual walking around shoe only - have had several pairs. The good: good looking, moderate support, good gripping lugs on the sole, great laces that stay tied. The bad: don't last long, lack the stability or cushioning to support real trail running (I have more expensive Asics for that) or for long days on hard floors, but most importantly, these shoes do not breathe well. I live in a hot weather climate and the upper feet can get a very toasty in these shoes when winter is gone. I actually returned this pair because I did not like the new color selection. Bought the Asics Venture as my casual shoe instead, which has better breathability, cushioning, and color selection. However, I would definitely buy the Scram again once winter arrives (assuming the color selection improves).

My daughter sent some magnetic inserts that made the fit better.
