Got these for my mother in law as a replacement for an older model that she loved but wore out. She says these just aren’t the same, we tried a size up, but they still aren’t as comfortable as they used to be, so we will be returning them.

I have depended on Asics for 20 years now for my over pronation. These shoes have zero arch support and do nothing to prevent over pronation. On top of that, the sole is mostly foam, which I have found to be far less durable than rubber soles, and foam soles can also cause you to slip on wet surfaces. It's too bad because I love the look, colors and design of the shoe, but it's what's on the inside that counts, and these shoes don't have it where it counts. Back they go.

These shoes looked great, but they didn't fit me well. The size 8 was too small and the 8.5 was too big. Returned them.

I wore these once at the gym (inside wear only - not outside) and got blisters on the inside of both heels.

I have flat feet and thought I’d try these because of the reviews about their support. These are the most uncomfortable athletic shoes I have ever put on my feet. They feel like they have no cushion and absolutely no support. Other ASICS shoes are fabulous - I assume it must be just this style. They may be great for someone else, but I will be returning mine.

ASICS!!!!! I used to buy this shoe every year!!! Please make this shoe in Wide in an all black / onyx!! This is the only shoe I can wear to work!!! For the last 2 years you have stopped making the black overpronation gt1000 and gt 2000 shoe available in wide!!! Also! Make this shoe in a brown neutral color in wide also! Running shoes are not just for running! People use them to work! Thank you.

This is a review, not of the fitting, but of ASICS GT-1000 7 series in general. I've been a VERY loyal customer of this brand for over a decade. I've been wearing GT-1000 in full black color for 5 years now. I've been eagerly awaiting for the new release as this is the ONLY shoe I can wear that is full black color. I wear it to work every single day so I need it to be in that color desperately. I'm HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED that ASICS decided to NOT release this new GT-1000 7 in full black. Those of you whose feet hurt in anything else but that "one shoe you love" will feel my pain. I have to wear black sneakers at work and ASICS was the ONLY brand who released a full black shoe that was remotely comfortable or looked good (such as my beloved GT-1000!) ASICS Company - if you're reading this: Please, PLEASE bring back this shoe in FULL BLACK! Some of us are in dire need of it. You don't want us to go around all day on our feet in painful blisters, do you? Pretty please?
