I'm not a runner, but will instead be using these during my exercise classes and walking. I like the fabric, which seems that it will be light and airy.

This has been my go to shoe for the last 2 years. Style changed a little. Din't like them now. Went with Saucony Pro Grid

Because apparently nobody in the US have asics running shoes in 11.5N, I took a chance on these shoes. I'm hoping that they can tide me over until asics makes more 11.5N available... hope it's soon! These are predictably too wide for folks with narrow feet, but they are comfy, and I think they'll be fine for walking if I add an extra insole and my orthotics...

I have found the Asic 1000's run 1/2 size small. I'm a 8 in any sneaker (including an model Asics except the GT 1000), but need an 8.5 in GT 1000.

Cute shoe. I bought a wide, and they feel pretty good.

Nice, stylish sneaker with rich colors, grippy tread and moderate arch support. I purchased a wide width which is sometimes a bit too wide and sometimes perfect. Unusually, these felt a bit tight. The size seems appropriate but the width makes them a bit uncomfortable. Most of my sneakers stretch a bit with wear and I'm hoping these will too.

The color was very good and the width seemed good in the toe box but the outside of the shoe where arch is on foot did not have any support strips so my foot was not hugged and the material sagged above the arch. I returned the shoes and was refunded quickly.

I ordered these in the black/white, very cute. From experience I know that Asics tend to run narrow, but they didn't have my size in wide. I ordered my size in regular width, and they work even with my orthotics. The soft upper allows for room and extra stretch. Good summer shoe!

Great sale price & since I alternate my shoes - these will be fine. Order half size longer. Jogged 4 miles first time I wore them with total comfort.

I have also owned the previous generation of this shoe (GT-1000 6) and have bought these as my previous ASICS ripped near on the top of the toe area (mesh got snagged when running). In terms of comfort, I felt the last generation felt better but the GT-1000 7 definitely looks better since it has a sleeker profile. It does feel a lot more narrow than the previous generation so be aware if you have wide feet. I do like this series (hence why I bought shoes from this series again from Zappos) but I am a little concerned about how thin the mesh at the top of the toe area is. I would say if you spend a lot of time running in areas where there are low branches or is anything that can easily snag mesh, to look for another shoe. Otherwise this shoes is great for normal running/ casual wear.

The recommended size by Zappos was 1/2 size larger than I wear. These felt too big for me. I wear an 11M and the 11.5 M was a bit too long in length. This shoe is comfortable and stylish. I prefer the look and feel of these over some of the other Asics that I have tried. This style has a slightly tapered toe, and the toe box is better suited to my foot. I'm going to try these in my usual size and see how that works. I don't have anything negative to say about the shoe other than the sizing being off for me. The color combination of stone gray/carbon is very nice as well.

The toe box was not as roomy as Asics I've had before. The width appeared alright, but the angle of taper on the outside of the shoe from the widest point to the toe was more abrupt and cramped my toes. The cushion in the foot bed and tongue was significantly less than I needed. I am returning them and will try other brands.

I read reviews that the GT-1000s and GT-2000s were nearly identical, but these (GT-1000s) are not as comfortable. They are definitely stiffer in the sole than my 2000s. Also, the color/style just feels dated and frumpy. I'm returning to get a second pair of the GT-2000s, which fit great this year (not too tight in the toe box!)

Loved this shoe at first, but with my bunion the toe box area was a little too narrow, unfortunately.

This shoe is really cute. I ordered the wide width but it is still too narrow for my wide feet.

Love these shoes. Very light weight and comfortable all day long. I work in a busy hospital and by the end of the day my feet still feel great.

I don't recommend sizing up at all. If you are a size 7 in all of your shoes, all the time, get the size 7. Shoe looks great and even though they are a little big, they felt good to run in.

Nice shoe for the price. My feet are alittle wide so these felt snug out of the box but a few hours walking in them and they were fine.

Normally wear a 7.5 wide. Got these in 8 and they're fine.

Shoe fits well however received from Zappos with scuffs on each sneaker.

The shoes are comfortable and I add my own sports insole to to provide more arch support. Asics have always run about 1/2 size small for me, so I order them increasing the size by that much to get a good fit.

For a person with a really wide foot, even getting the wide size felt too confining for long term comfort

They almost were perfect--but they were about a half-size too long in the toe box. May want to consider ordering a half-size smaller in this version of the shoe.

I've worn Asics for running middle distances since my college cross country days, and have always found them to be a pretty good workhorse shoe with good arch support for my slightly pronating feet. Over the past two years I've struggled with Asics sizing - have been an 8 for many years for running shoes (true 7.5 for all other shoes) but found myself buying a 9.5 (!!) a few shoes ago because Asics seems to have changed it's foot model. Now I'm down to an 8.5 so I would say they are still running slightly small, but they seem to provide the same comfort and support that I've come to rely on from Asics. Went for a run today and they felt great with no breaking in.
