All mephisto are a full size too large. I'm a 9 so I get an 8. Shoes are heavy but for my ankle and Achilles tendon problems they are supportive and my doc likes them. I have 3 pair.

This is my third pair of Mephisto Vito's. They are a full size too large so I order down. I'm a 9 but in Mephisto Vito I'm an 8. The shoe is a bit heavy but attractive. My podiatrist says they are excellent for my ankle and Achilles tendon problems because the shoe is not lightweight and flexible so it holds my foot in place. Hey, it is better than a brace, believe me. The shoe wears well. Heel does not erode quickly. I will order several more. I don't even look at other brands.

I’m an Ecco fan but decided to try these for style and comfort. I love them, so much so I bought both colors. Great support and comfort.

Mephisto fan with multiple pairs from them. All their shoes are built to last. Glad to see they are offering more causal contemporary styles without compromising on quality. Very happy will be buying another pair in another color.

I own other shoes by Mephisto and I typically have to order 1/2 size greater in order to get the shoes to fit correctly. I did the same this time and the shoes were too large. I reordered at my true size and the shoes fit properly. They are light and comfortable. I wear them as an every-day walking shoe. If they are like the other shoes I have from Mephisto they will last for years.

Stylish shoe, good fit, not much cushion but a very heavy shoe. Tiring to wear. Had to return.

Had to send it back. It was a half-size larger.

These shoes fit my husband perfectly and he is very picky with shoes.

Size definitely runs large. I wear a 10M and have for decades. Had to exchange the 10's for 9.5. In fact, the Nordstrom website advised you drop down a size when thinking about ordering.

The shoes fit well. The sole is peeling a bit prematurely.

Style is so, so -- as is with most Mephisto [ I have about 10 pair though because of the comfort and quality of base ]. Straight away, the 'extra high' heal rubs and irritates the ankle bone. These will not be added to my collection -- sending back.

This shoe runs a minimum one size larger than indicates. If you know your European size go by that. However Zappos clearlybshipped us a size 8 versus the 9 we ordered so this will be now our 2nd return of this shoes with Zappos and our 6th order to get this show from 3 different places. We are weighing the decision to try for a 6th time given our luck thus far. But my husband loves the shoe.

These shoes are a major major disappointment. I own several pairs of Mephisto all size 9 and a great fit.....in a 9 these shoes are enormous, in an 8 ½ they are too big and an 8 turns out to be too small. Someone's really got the sizing wrong with these particular shoes.

I normally look for wide shoes and this one is perfectly wide for their standard width. I usually wear size 12 (46 in European), but when I got the 12s, there was a full thumb-and-a-half's worth of space between my big toe and the end of the shoe. Mephisto's are supposed to be larger than we're used to (that's what their literature says), but I still sized down a half size to an 11 1/2. Love these shoes.

These shoes seem to run a full size smaller (my husband needs to order one full size down from what he normally buys).

Should have paid more attention to reviews. Great shoes but definitely runs full size larger. Need to wait until smaller size comes now but great shoes!

The Vito should be ordered 1/2 size smaller than your actual size. It is a very comfortable and stable shoe. After receiving my first pair (black) and wearing them, I ordered a second pair (brown). Additionally, the shoes look better than I thought they would. I have for years been a Mephisto fan having multiple styles. The Vito is among the best of the lot.

Quality shoe made with top notch materials. Had to send back because the heel slipped excessively. Was very disappointed as I otherwise liked the shoe. Even considered putting heel grips in them but the gap was to big and for the price they should fit perfect.
