Very stiff shoe at the beginning especially around the achilles. Not much cushion for impact. Not one or my favorite running shoes.

After six years of running in FFs (which I loved!), after they were discontinued the FF 2s were suggested. Yes, they fit fine, but they are NOT runners -- they are super-cushy "maybe" walking shoes but more like cross-trainers. After trying them on about ten runs in a variety of conditions and cross-checking with my remaining pairs of old FFs, I can state unequivocally that they make running HARDER and add about 40-seconds per mile to my run times. If you're a runner, look for something else.
