This was my 1st attempt at a Brooks shoe, because New Balance shoes which I have traditionally worn due to wide feet have been decreasing in quality and fit of late, and every time I get one that works, they change something and change the model and then it doesn't fit right. I am a 6' 7" 300 lb supinator with high arches and an unusual size (13 4E) and it is a constant challenge to find well fitting shoes. I've worn the Ghost 11 now for a week, and I have been very happy with them. Full disclosure: I am not using the stock insoles which appear to have minimal arch support (by design, these are neutral shoes for non-pronators or supinators, not your typical shoe for over-pronators), and I have inserted a high-end orthotic from Protalus that has additional support and cushioning. This has been a winning combination so far with regard to comfort. I had hoped that I'd get less foot pain and maybe some improvement in some neuropathy, but no changes there so far. But I didn't have high hopes for that to begin with, as there is only so much footware can do for old, tired feet on a really big guy. I recommend this shoe!

After years of ordering larger sizes to accommodate my wide feet, I was finally able to get my true shoe size in wide width. Unlike New Balance, which simply adds extra material to their 4e sizes without making the soles any wider, it seems that Brooks takes their wide widths seriously. The 4e size is shaped close to my actual foot shape, and my feet don't spill over the sides of the sole. I can therefore order size 8, 4e instead of size 9. The only other shoes that have come this close to my actual foot shape are my Birkenstock Arizonas, size 41.

I have wide feet, relatively high arches, and am a heavy heel striker. I walk a lot for my commute and am on my feet much of the day at work. I bought the 4E size. They are wide enough the the extra cushioning under the heel is amazing. I wore my first pair for a week, then ordered 2 more pairs. I am going to keep these as my regular sneakers since they are so comfortable.

Best. Running Shoe. Ever. Every 400 miles, I replace my Ghosts. I try on half-a-dozen different other models, trying to find something else that feels as good. Then, I buy another pair of Ghosts.

Best shoes I ever bought. And I’ve purchased a lot. Better then any Nike’s or new balance I bought. Pros: comfort, true to size, true to width ( I purchased 4E ), look, durability, neutral stability ( I use my own inserts ), insoles easily come out, worth every penny. My back and feet love these ghost 11 Cons: NONE Bought December 2018 and thank you Zappos for having these.

Like at least one other review on here, I had been a loyal New Balance buyer for years. I am 11.5 EE so I need the wider toebox. New Balance quality has been very uneven and the shoe designs have gotten worse. I tried to stick with them but after doing some research I thought I would try the Ghost. I just logged ~400 miles on my first pair and re-upped for another. These are great, mostly neutral shoes. I run 35 mi/week in varying conditions and haven't had any issues. They are not super waterproof, but no worse than other shoes I've used. Stock insoles seem adequate if you are a "normal" runner. I would consider myself a Ghost customer for the foreseeable future. I'm happy with the styling here too. Nothing too crazy. Not super cool looking but definitely something you could hide under some jeans and not have it stand out if you go on a trip and don't want to pack extra shoes or something.

Excellent shoe. Comfort can not be overstated. Having plantar fasciitis, this shoe has the best combination of heel cushioning and arch support I’ve come across. The shoe initially felt a touch too snug, but they’re beginning to loosen up with wear. I recommend highly.

The Ghost 10 was a very comfortable shoe for me so I looked at reviews for the Ghost 11 and did not see any major change in the reviews. I wore a pair in the house for a day and they seemed fine. However, once I wore them for a few days I started having pain in my hips and down the sides of my thighs. It continued and became chronic. I could feel the seam of the shoe on the outside of my foot. I went back to the old Ghost 10 and a pair of Asolo hiking shoes and my pain disappeared completely. I think the new Ghost 11 was canting my weight to the outside of my shoes and putting my legs and hips out of alignment. Unfortunately it took a while for these symptoms to occur and for me to figure out what was happening but I cannot wear these shoes! Having worn them outside I cannot return them. It just took a while for my body to respond. I will have to give them away. I previously wore the adrenalines and found they were getting too stiff, so I am back to the drawing board

Didn't think I could find a more comfortable light weight shoe than the Asics Dynaflyte 3 then along came the Ghost 11. Not a runner but I walk 6-8 miles a day and absolutely love the Ghost 11's! The cushioning, comfort and light weight are amazing! Tried 3 other Brooks models but didn't fit my foot as well so bought a second pair of the Ghost's. Great looking shoe as well!

Really loved these more than any previous ghost shoe (not including GTX). I like the black, silver, and white color schemes. They fit really well right away. Like another poster said these are not great in wet conditions so keep that in mind if you run in the rain a lot. Go for the GTX ones if you do which are incredibly waterproof and breathable. Otherwise in dry conditions these are 10/10

Great fit, very comfortable I’m going to add an insert that adds more arch support and more padding to the sole Agree with other reviews that mentioned Asics, I was loyal to that brand but their quality has declined lately and their sizing has been less consistent Loved these so much, that after wearing them for one day I ordered a second pair Worth their price. Very lightweight and comfortable!

Been battling Achilles tendinitis for months. Workouts were limited. Read many reviews on here saying these shoes helped and I have to agree. My pain has subsided and I’m feeling great. Thanks!

Caution-Slippery when wet and a half size too small. I've run in these shoes for a few weeks now and they are fine in dry and clean times. I like them and will likely buy them again. However, these are not good for running when the ground is wet or gritty. I had much better traction in my HOKA One's. I like the look of this shoe better than the HOKA and particularly like the gray. I ordered the blue originally but the shoe was too small despite it being my normal size. I returned for a half size larger and switched to gray. It's a nice color. I have custom insoles so I can't comment on the comfort of the shoe as is but if you wear orthodics like I do, the fit is a bit snug but it feels good. I recommend for anyone wearing orthodics.

I have just started running/training this year and I started getting knee pain and heel pain while I was running so I knew it was time to get some new shoes. When I put them on they were very comfortable, but my first reaction was that they didn't have as much cushion or as much arch support as my previous shoes. I wasn't sure how they would work out, but as I mentioned, they were comfortable just different. I went for my first run in them, about 5 miles, and I had no heel pain and minor knee pain. I went from being pretty sore to normal after my run. After that run my concerns about cushion and arch support were gone just like the issues I was experiencing with my old shoes. I highly recommend these.

Brooks are always great shoes. The sizing has been inconsistent; half to a quarter size between the 10 & 11. Overall very happy and will control buy Brooks. Would like more color options a, but that is a Zappos thing.

Brooks has always run small for me - so there isn't really anything wrong with the size, I just know to order a full size up and everything is fine. These seem a little wider than my last pair (ghost 9) and I have to lace them up a little tighter than I normally would or I start to get hot spots on the bottom of my feet. Not a problem really - just different than I'm used to. I've always loved the Ghost line since I bought my first pair of 6's way back when. They are extremely comfortable, not too heavy and have excellent cushion. I have 2 pair now that look almost brand new but have about 500 - 700 miles on them - and that's about the time I look to replace them (basically every other year) Anyway - buy them, you won't be disappointed - just go up a size.

I originally ordered these shoes in my normal size 12. When I tried them, they were too narrow in the toe area (my last two toes were pinching in). I called Brooks and they recommended a half-size larger shoe. Of course, working with Zappos return policy is such a breeze, I exchanged the shoes for a 12.5. These feel awesome! Fit like a glove, comfortable everywhere, great support, great look (White, black, white), etc. Let's roll.

Have owned several Brooks' shoes (Beast, Glycerin). This is the first Ghost. Feels comfortable but narrower than the D width it's marked. Size feels accurate. Brooks makes quality products and I don't think this one will be any different.

Great friggin' shoe right out of the box. Great feel, size, and support. I have a wide foot and the shoe fit me perfectly. I'm going to buy another pair.

I purchased these for the cushioning of a running shoe and for the neutral support. They’re very comfortable right out of the box but I haven’t had them long enough to see how they will hold up. They feel like I will be lucky to get a year out of them. My only complaint for now is the ridiculously short laces. The laces are barely long enough to tie them and you can forget about using the extra holes at the top to cinch them up.
