I've been searching for the right backpack to start off my college experience. I wanted one with a laptop pocket, water bottle holders, and room for all my things. I look for a few weeks before I stumbled on this one and I am very happy with my purchase. The laptop sleeve is perfect and this backpack will hold everything I could even think of needing. It also feels very durable and looks super stylish!

This backpack is wonderful. It is very roomy and allows you to fit everything you would need for the day in it. It does stick out a bit when it's stuffed full but the clasps on the side allow you to shrink it and pull it together if you're packing a little lighter. I got the black heather/burnt coral metallic and love the color combination. It goes with everything and doesn't show dirt. Would definitely suggest this product to a friend! It is a trusty and durable backpack.

I love the pockets, it works for what I need. Wish it was a little lighter. Over all great bag and I live the color.

I would have given this 5 stars but delivery was disappointing. Also, inventory at Northface has been incredibly low compared to comparable companies. Customer service was poor.

I am really happy with my purchase. I purchased the zinc grey light heather/powder blue and often get compliments on my bag. I will say that no matter how I pack the bag, it will not stand on it's own which is why I give it 4 stars. I use this bag for walking or cycling to work (4km) and it is very comfortable. I saw some previous reviews about the straps being too narrow but I am quite petite so this is actually a bonus for me. In the large pocket alone, I can fit my lunch box with a 12 hour shift's worth of food and a change of clothes plus many smaller items. I've also taken it on a winter hike and been glad for the extra space to remove some layers. I've had it for 3 months and it's been holding up well with daily use but I cannot comment beyond that re: durability.

I bought this backpack to replace and older model of the Isabella, It has more pockets that I even know what to do with. It looks like it will make a great travel pack with pockets that are easily accessible for things like cellphones and wallets. Even after putting a lot of stuff in it there was still a ton of extra space.

It’s a good bag. Really white though. I’m afraid it will look dirty. But it’s really pretty- great option if its likely to stay clean

I use this product for my school, and also caring my laptop. The only thing I don't like this backpack about is that there are less pockets

Great backpack! I read other reviews regarding the stiff shoulder straps, and unfortunately, the reviews are accurate. The straps are very stiff and does hurt my shoulders or end of collar bone from time to time. THe backpack is slightly heavy when completely empty, but this doesn't bother me too much. Otherwise, this is a great looking and feeling backpack all around!

I use this backpack for carrying notebooks, textbooks, laptop, etc. across campus. It works really wellcertainly roomy, nice zippers, great padded pockets in convenient locations. My biggest complaint is that the water bootleg holders on the sides are a little too tallit's impossible to get the water bottle in and out without taking the whole pack off my shoulders, which isn't going to happen while I'm walking. They also swallow shorter items, like travel coffee mugs, entirely. But I bought this backpack after having some shoulder issues with my previous pack, so the ACA approval was really important to me in the buying process. This is a really high quality backpack, and I would recommend it to other buyers.

I love having many different size pockets. I carry 2 laptops and they both fit comfortably in the backpack. Having two large pockets helps keep me organized. Plus the color is great!

I love the Surge backpack they are so spacious, when I ordered it I thought it was going to be black and green/blue but it came grey. So, I was a little sad about that. But over all I love them.

This is a fantastic backpack. I was looking for a new backpack to take to and from work to transport a laptop, iPad, and other items. I looked at a lot of different backpacks and even purchased a different brand/style and ended up returning it after I saw someone walking into work wearing a similar one to what I ended up purchasing.
This totally fits everything and has room for more. It has a ton of pockets and places to put everything and overall it is pretty comfortable. Like any new pack, it takes a while to get the straps adjusted to just the right way and I am working on that and almost there. I can see using this pack for hiking and traveling as well. I would definitely recommend it!

Love this backpack! The only part I'm not crazy about it the strap across the back. It's a safety concern. Other students tend to pull it and that of course pulls you back! Annoying!

Every details of this bag was well thought of and well constructed. HOWEVER....
The bottom feels flimsy when compared to other parts of the bag. The paddings, zippers and shoulder harness feels like they can stop a bullet but that bottom....worries me.
This was a gift for my daughter and she will use it for HS...so we shall see.

I bought the burgundy, I love the color, the size and all the pockets. The pockets are lined which I had not experienced before. Lined pockets makes digging in the pockets so comfortable, sounds weird but very true. I was so impressed with this backpack I bought my grown daughter one. She loves it as well.

This is a great backpack for work, the gym, and short trips. I'm a convention go-er and this backpack holds all of my things with plenty of extra space and lots of secure pockets for phones, wallets, tablets, and other valuable items. I do agree with previous comments that the straps could be more comfortable. They aren't well padded and hit the collarbones and shoulder at an odd spot. Since I don't wear it for long of periods of time very often it doesn't bother me, but someone looking for an all day backpack will probably have issues. Overall this is an excellent backpack. If there hadn't been an issue with the straps I would have given it 5 stars.

I use this backpack every day. So far I love it! There are so many pockets for you to stay organized. I love the style. The only con is that the straps really are not that comfortable. I read about this before I got the backpack and it would not stop me from buying it again. However, I knew I wouldn't be carrying heavyweight items for long periods of time so it didn't bother me.

I had to replace my previous surge backpack because it was stolen. I loved the previous model. This new one is great too but I preferred last years pockets and straps (they were wider). No matter what this is my favorite backpack to date

Pros:
Very roomy and stylish, it has the perfect amount of pockets.
I work full-time and go to school full-time. I use the smaller pocket to put my immediate things i need to reach for such as my airpods etc the following pockets allows room for my wallet keys pens pencils etc
In particular, i bought this backpack because a compartment in which I can put my gym clothes and food. The laptop compartment firs my ipad. laptop and a folder a book or two
I also like the two side zipper pockets, i use one of them to hold my glasses as it is soft and the other to hold basic essentials such as my hand sanitizers, hand cream, wipes etc etc
Cons
STRAPS! I had previously read it in the comments but figured it wasn't that bad. Given that both women and men surge have all the same dimensions and the ONLY difference is the straps, I regret not getting the mens surge. Supposedly, the womens surge starps were meant to provide a more comfortable feel due to our chest but actually it's quite uncomfortable. Almost feels like you have no secure support. Its hard to explain but i definitely recommend getting the mens design.
Weight: the backpack is a bit heavy by itself so you can imgaine when add in a couple of stuff
