Good back pack but a little small inside to be used for school. Difficult to get books, computer, notebooks inside. Can't hold a lot.

This is a good backpack but be aware that the front zip section does not go all the way to the bottom so not very useful. Second compartment is big though, and there is a good place to keep laptop

I have a jansport backpack that Ive been using for a while but it was getting to be too small and couldnt fit all my books so I bought this backpack and it claims to hold 26L but it is even smaller than the backpack I had before. It seems like a really nice backpack but if youre going to be carrying multiple textbooks around this backpack might not be right for you.

Used this backpack for college commuting and loved it until the zipper separated from the fabric and could not be closed. This occurred only 1year after receiving it as a gift. Warranty does cover it but they are 6-8 weeks behind in getting things back to you, 4 weeks behind in determining if it can be fixed or needs to be replaced. Not very convenient with 10 weeks of school remaining.

I received this backpack for Christmas my freshman year of high school. It lasted throughout the end of my freshman year and well into my sophomore. However, midway through my sophomore year the zipper at the top of the bag became unstitched and loose from its connecting fabric, making the bag unable to fully zip. This is extremely frustrating as I was only able to use the backpack for roughly a year and a half. Despite this, I will be purchasing another Jester backpack heading into my junior year, due to the comfort and versatility of this bag. Hopefully this time the zipper won't break before I graduate.

I used this backpack for school and about half way through the year the top strap started braking. By the end of the year I could only carry it on one strap due to the fear it would fall right off my back. Besides for that it had great colors and good storage, just a little bulky.

I used this bag for my second year of college. Having had north face backpacks for a majority of my academic career I knew I was getting a good quality product well worth my money. I absolutely love the pattern of this bag and it is the perfect size. I used to have the Surge 2 which is a bit larger but other than the occasionally test week I could always fit what I needed. It honestly looks like new and I have done nothing at all to clean it. Its very comfortable and small enough to remain stylish. That being said unfortunately the seams on one of the straps has started to tear. I am very disappointed seeing as I've only had the bag for about 9 months. I know north face products easily last years however due to the weak seams in the straps I will no longer be using this bag

The back side of the backpack was very stiff when i first got it which should of been a red flag right away however i gave it a try despite how expensive the pack was. I have now had the backpack for almost a year, which i have only used it for school (I'm a college student so i generally have my MacBook air, notebooks, folders and maybe a textbook or two in it) and then for occasionally going out on the weekends. Endlessly i have not been rough on the backpack and there is no reason that the bottom should be almost worn then already. I would say the overall backpack is cheaply made and does not hold up the same as other NorthFace products. It might just be this model, because my brother has a similar backpack going on two years and his looks new still, and he is a lot more rough with is. The other part of the backpack i am no a fan of is that the straps come from lower than the top of the bag. It feels like the actual backpack is pulling my shoulders back when it is heavy. I don't like to wear my backpack all the way up my back so if you are like me I would suggest not getting this bag solely for that reason.

My second north face backpack. Definitely durable, although I did not like how it fit. It also looks bigger then the space it actually has to carry

I was looking for a good school backpack that would fit a binder and a laptop (I do not carry textbooks to school just because they are way too heavy). This one can fit a lot of stuff in, has good padding, and a bunch of pockets.
Even so, I had 2 major problems with it, and I am planning on returning it
1) I am a petite girl (~5 feet tall), and this backpack does NOT fit me at all. Basically, all the weight pulls on my shoulders because my back does not touch the backpack at all (this is most probably because of my height). No matter how much I longer/shorter I make it, it does not fit.
2) Some of my school stuff (planner, pencil bag, calculator, etc.) is of smaller size, but not so tiny that it can fit into the small pockets. The pocket that is in the front of the backpack is too deep.
Overall, the backpack is too long for me.
I am really hoping that Northface will restock their rhyolite backpacks (hopefully, those ones are smaller, and can fir my petite frame).

Purchased this for my 9th grader. Very attractive and well made. Simply not large enough for all the stuff she needs to carry.

I have to say that this backpack is not bad, but this could be much better than its usual style. This really is only good for school and thats about it. Unless your doing light traveling, it would also be perfect for that. This does not have many compartments as I like my backpacks with a few compartments. This bag is basically the main compartment and a little compartment in the front for storing your smaller items. Note i have last years model (2015) so the even smaller sections are located in the main compartment but they get kinda of bulky only with a few things inside and they are not even that big of things that I put inside of them. Overall its good for school even to a certain extent. But this doesn't compare to my Borealis backpack. Also this is not waterproof! I had also bought this bag thinking that it was waterproof but clearly it's not. The features I look for in a backpack are: large capacity, durability, waterproof, comfortable, not bulky, lightweight. So this bag just didn't make the cut for me.

This backpack was my first North Face backpack and I got it last year for high school. It honestly was a great backpack because it was EXTREMELY comfortable and the straps made it feel so light even with my heavy load to and from school. I even used this on hikes and when I travelled because it felt so lightweight and comfortable. The color was really nice too, however, I got it in a bright color so there was no way in hiding the dirtiness. Overall it was a great backpack and it fit most stuff, but I definitely think there are bigger backpacks out there for students that carry a lot of books.
The only flaw is this: Out of nowhere the zipper on the main pocket totally became unstitched with the stitching!! I don't even know how it happened but the zipper itself works, but I think it snagged when I was unzipping it and the stitches that were woven in the zipper came undone in this big mess, which led to even more zipper snags. I had to cut it during class to get my books out!!! How crazy is that?? I am very disappointed because I loved this backpack and the color is so nice, but the quality isn't necessarily the best.

I ordered the purple one of this backpack and just received it today to find that the pocket inside was made wrong. From the pictures online, it looks like the organizational portion is supposed to be inside the front, smaller pocket. But mine is on backward. The organizational portion is actually now inside the bigger, main pocket, making the smaller one practically useless. It doesn't hinder my use of the product, but for my own sanity, I would have liked it to be made right. Customer service hours close early I guess, so I'll be calling tomorrow....

I use this for school and it fits a lot and has tons of pockets. I love it! The only problem is that with tank tops, the padding can get kind of irritating or itchy.

I wish the big pocket was a little bigger and easier to by notebooks in. But I do love all the small pockets and the two side pockets. Sometimes the straps ajust themselves so there uneven.

The book bag is nice & I love how it looks but it's almost a little too padded. My shoulder areas became a little irritated & tense bc the padding is so thick. The padding is not really a cushion material. It's not terrible but it wasn't what I expected. I've had Northface bookbags before and I think it's more comfortable without all the padding. The padding on the backside of the bag makes it feel a lot more bulky than what it should be.

I really wanted to like this backpack, but it was just too small for school use. in my school we even use iPads instead of books and it is still too small to fit my folders and notebooks and and iPad. this would be good for outdoor activities but it is impractical for a student.

I received my product in great conditions, and it is extremely comfortable and cute. The only problem I have with it is that it is smaller than what I expected, and it does not have many pockets or space in general. Other than that I am happy with what I ordered and hope it works out for me during college!

Use it for school, although its difficult to fit everything in it. Definitely have to make adjustments. Not enough small pockets, actually there are none. Sucks for when I need to grab my keys or phone quickly.

It is a great bag, and it looks like it could last me a while. The only thing I did not like was it barely had any space for anything.

The straps are set too close together. They cut into my shoulders no matter how much I adjusted them. It was either too tight to put on and take off, or too lose to wear. I spent 3 days in Disneyland with this bag and now have abrasions on my shoulders and arms.
