The 2025/2026 backpack material quality has degraded. It is no longer thick. The material is thin and has a criss-cross pattern. The backpacks look cheap, frankly.

Product is very good with quality. Basic needs will fit on this backpack.

Only reason why I gave it 4 stars is. It's way smaller than it looks in the pictures

Lots of space

I purchased this backpack in two different colors for my HS Freshman and Jr. Both report that it fits all of their stuff and that it "feels sturdy" when they sling it over their shoulder and put it through the daily abuses of school life.

Grandchild's backpack it's very roomy and they hold up really long.

My son absolutely loves this backpack!! It holds everything he needs for school and is super comfy and easy on his back!!

I purchased this bag to take to and from work (firefighter) and the front pocket is pretty floppy and things fall out easily. Great for school and laptop only, not ideal for traveling with gear.

Great backpack for high school student

This is a great backpack. The straps are comfortable when it's full. My daughter uses this for middle school and I have a black one I've used for different types of days and these are for sure my go to back packs!

Bought this for my teenage daughter for school. It's not as big as other backpacks I've purchased before so wouldn't purchase it again for her.

This is being used as a school backpack this year. It has good space, but it kind of cinches in at the middle and would be better if it opened up big and then allowed you to cinch as much as you need.

I got this backpack at the end of the school year while I was in middle school. It was very good for the stuff I needed. But in high school I had 4 binders. I upgraded to the borealis. They did not fit.

I've taken my North Face Jester Backpack everywhere school, the gym, weekend trips, hikes, and even spontaneous getaways. And every time, it proves why it's in a league of its own.This backpack isn't just a bag, I would say it's a reliable partner. Love the backpack. Bought for my grandson as he will be starting 7th grade! It is a perfect gift.

I purchased one of these backpacks and had it for two school years. It has plenty of room for all of your school supplies and is very durable. It has some wear and tear, which is expected and normal. The only thing I would say, is to be careful with the zippers because they can fall off pretty easily. Overall, the bag was very durable, nice, and spacious. Would definitely recommend.

This is a great product! The only flaw is that the main compartment zipper unzips but not from the zippers. I can fix it every time by going over it with the zipper, but just a minor flaw.

I have owned this back and used it regularly for the gym, travel, etc and it's still in very good shape after over 15 years. Very good quality overall. I am looking at buying the new model soon.

The back pack was poorly designed. The back pack flops over when you open it. The smaller compartment always gets in the way of the main compartment, making it really annoying and difficult to access your items, especially if you're in a hurry. The back pack is also not as rugged.
