We ordered this pair in the wide, knowing NB runs a little narrow. My 7-year-old son’s wide feet push the limits near the top, but at the heel he says they slip slightly. It’s not ideal, but my son really wanted to keep them, so we won’t be returning them. He gets a kick out of the lacing mechanism and it does make getting out the door a little more enjoyable. No blisters or other problems.

These shoes look cool and are very popular in school at the moment. Unfortunately, we had to return them. My 9 year old said they kept on slipping off as the back seemed to be not high enough to stay on his heels. And my 6 year old came back from school with blisters. Not for everyone.

Child is just outgrowing 1.5 wides. This shoe, 2W, is at least a size too big. But she likes it and wants pads. I didn't want to exchange for a 1.5 since she's supposed to be too big. Indeed, the Saucony 2W is just right, as well as two others, but again, she likes the look and the ratcheting closure, so we're keeping it!

My 5-year-old LOVES these shoes. They look similar to my husband’s bike shoes which I know is part of the appeal. I’m concerned about durability since the tightening lace is so tiny and the mechanism is apparently just so much fun to play with. My husband says the mechanism has a great warranty but it’s more the tiny lace that I think will give out soon. I guess we’ll see. It will probably last longer than the Velcro from his last pair of shoes, which wasn’t long. He says they’re the most comfortable shoes he’s ever worn, and that’s probably true—these are the first real athletic shoes we’ve tried for him. And the fit is great because the mechanism is much more adjustable than Velcro and probably even more so than laces. Just hoping they last.

Bummed that these did not work. My son loved the look of them but kept complaining that they were too narrow. He has never complained of a shoe running narrow so this was a first for me. I hope they come out with a similar look but a width that will fit him.

These were for my croc-obsessed 4-year-old son because his teacher thought he needed shoes that actually were fitted to his feet. I knew he wouldn't deal with laces, and velcro always loses its' stickiness after accumulating fuzzies, so the closure is easy (for adults)-- maybe a little tough as a concept for a four-year-old to pop out the button and then spin to loosen or tighten by snapping in. Look very cool; not as easy to put on as crocs, but nothing ever will be.

The Greats: These were PERFECT for our 6 yo. son who has a sensory processing disorder. He would pull his feet in and out of his shoes all day seeking sensory input. With the compression provided by this shoe, he has completely stopped that behavior. All his teachers have commented on it. He has a custom foot orthotic and there are no issues with fit. Finally, no frustration with laces, which provide great compression and fit with the orthotic, but loosen and come untied during the day and he lacks the ability to tie them at this stage. The Not-So-Greats: The tread has worn rather quickly. Deducted one star for that. We got more mileage out of the New Balance 888v1 which was our prior shoe. Also wish this one had more color choices. But overall, this shoe is checking so many boxes for our son I hope they never stop making it!

Great sneaker! My son loved it and found the dial fun! He has a flat foot and wears orthodics so I bought the Wide. He says it’s soo comfortable and normally complains. I would definitely recommend them!

My 8 year old son is obsessed with these shoes and we are on his 4th pair of them. The click wheel closure is his favorite feature as he feels like velcro is for 'babies' but he struggles with laces at times. This gives a snug fit without the fussiness of laces. One criticism here (and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5) is that he blows right through the fabric. Not the best construction for a hard playing, sporty kid. I wish they made more shoes with this closure.

I really liked the style and how easy it was to tighten the strap but my son has wide feet and even though I ordered wide they where still to small..

At first he liked the shoe. The longer he walked around in them he complained they were uncomfortable

My son is 5 and I have to help him get these shoes on his feet. It’s almost like we need a shoe horn to get the heel inside. Once they are on though - they are great!

These fit great, but the string on the boa tightening system broke the first time my son wore them.

They dial and string to get them on and off is way to difficult. Grandma, Grandpa, and the 4 and 7 year old thought it was very difficult or impossible to to.
