Daughter absolutely loves these. Needed the wide width and a half size up from her usual stride rite/sketchers size.

My 7 year old daughter loves these shoes. The original pair got too small for her, so this is the same style with the bigger size. Not only a great design, but also durable.

My kids (ages 5 & 7) and I did product testing for New Balance awhile ago. These were by far our favorite ones that we ever received! They got compliments on them wherever we went. I remember telling the kids we definitely have to buy them when they go on the market. We were so glad when they showed up on Zappos! As a parent I love them because there is no tying required and the kids can put them on independently. Unlike other no-tie shoes, my kids could care less that they don’t have standard laces because of the the dial mechanism which allows them to tighten the shoe. And also unlike other no-tie shoes, there is no velcro to fall apart or elastic laces to stretch out. I’ve also washed these in the washing machine without any problems (air dry).

Adorable shoes! I bought them for a 7 year old and she had a hard time using the tightening mechanism. You have to pull it out to release the tension in order to take the shoes off and she struggled with that. Also, the cord that replaced the laces is a neat idea, but may be more suitable for older kids who aren't as crazy on the playground. The string felt rather thin. While I assume they were tested for durability, it still seems like it would rip if they were caught on something while the kid was running. These are going back.

My daughter loved these...but the "sock" area where you insert your heel became frayed within about 6 weeks of use.

My daughter had these in a smaller size and LOVED them. She could put them on and take them off quickly, run well. We did notice that because of their unique adjusting style, the shoe does not well around the midfoot or ankle; it is kind of like a slipper. We ordered another pair when she outgrew the first - the larger size was too wide around the heel/ankle. If they were a little narrower or snugger, they would be perfect. Unfortunately we needed to return the next size - just too big.

Lace system broke after a month

These sneakers are so worth every penny!! They are just cute and fashionable sneakers! They look great and my daughter loves how you tighten them to put them on. Very cool shoes and no one else in my daughter’s school will have them!! They are great for gym class and everyday wear. I love ?? them and so does she!!!

These worked perfect for my 2 kids (both boy-6 and girl-5). They both like adjusting the knob on the side. We gave up on Velcro shoes because they never stay on and the Velcro gets destroyed easily. My kids don’t have insanely wide feet, but they are not narrow. These worked perfect. Both tried on multiple shoes and felt that these were the best fit.

These are the third pair of these I have bought for my granddaughter. She loves the style and the button to tighten them. They are well made and the closure system works great. The string closure looks like it would wear, but it never does. It just keeps working. These are great shoes.

Fit really well, are comfortable and have that cool factor for kids because of the winding mechanism instead of laces. Hands down win.
