I bought this hat to replace the first Quicksilver straw hat I purchased for my husband a few years ago. After being packed and taken on several vacations, the straw started to break down. My husband still wore it to mow the lawn. This hat seems sturdier due to the red, white, and blue fabric lining the underside of the brim.

Nice hat for the prices but it's also brittle and not likely to hold up long. The main issue is that it's very, very small. The L/XL doesn't come close to fitting my 7-1/2 hat size. It's going back to Zappos.

fit is great and hat looks good other than terrible weaving. I don't expect it to be perfect but just large gaps in spots is pretty bad. Second time I've ordered this hat and had quality issues.
