I really liked the look of the bag, however, when carrying it crossbody it wouldn’t stay put. The straps will extend further and further down the more stuff you put in the bag. The backpack style worked great! If you are planning on carrying it crossbody though, just know that the straps will not hold in place. I’m 5’8” and when carrying it crossbody the bag would hit me right around me knees. I spent more time trying to adjust the bag than anything. I have 3 small kids so it just wasn’t beneficial and time saver like I had planned. I have had previous sakroots bags in this style and they did not do this. So I don’t know if it’s this particular bag or just the new style.

This purse is big enough to fit a large wallet, sunglasses, my lunch, an iPad mini and anything my husband is too lazy to carry himself. Could easily fit a pair of gloves, some reusable shopping sacks and more. My iPhone 6plus fits in one of the pockets on the inside zippered area, which is nice. Comes with a cute keychain that conveniently hooks onto a ring on the outside. My only complaint is that there is not a 'quick carry' handle on the top, but I fixed with a 10 minute sewing modification. It is very comfortable to use in the backpack mode.

Love this backpack. Very pretty, love all the pockets and the embellishments hanging off of it. The inside lining is very nice with the bird. Straps are adjustable and stay put. Holds a lot of stuff. The only thing I wish it had was an outside pocket on the back to hold a phone or something small so you don't have to open it. Very pleased, would highly recommemd.

I have another Sakroots backpack and wanted an additional one. Perfect for this Grammie to stash everything I need when I have the little ones (extra diaper and wipes plus my normal purse items). My other Sakroots has held up beautifully so I expect the same from this one. I bought the monotone gold one. It’s a great summer color that’s neutral enough to go with all my flip flops :-) I also like the versatility of converting from a backpack to a crossbody strap. The strap has a generous length that would fit everyone. The only thing lacking was a carry handle on top. It did come with a cute keychain but the jangling drove me crazy, so I removed it. It has a zipper on the main compartment, which is a must for me. The flap over the top has a snap that doesn’t connect easily, but not a deal breaker for me.

Loved the look of this bag. Unfortunately it doesn’t function well as a crossbody bag because the weight of the bag (not overstuffed) makes the straps slip all the way down. Will be returning.
