LOVE! It is very hard to find the mary jane style shoes with the athletic sole in the bigger kid sizes. My daughter (age 9) loves these for school. They match nearly everything, and she doesn't have to change shoes for recess or gym. They have a shimmer effect, but glitter won't be falling off everywhere. I wish they cost less, so I could buy multiple colors, but they are well made and will last and you get what you pay for. I'm not sure what she will wear when she sizes out of these.

Daughter is 6 and a size 13 with slightly narrower than average feet, and normal arch. These fit great and are comfy, she wears them all the time to school if it’s not a gym day. I like that the soles are grippy so they are functional on the playground but also look dressy. They are pricey but worth it and I think we’ll get a ton of wear out of them.

These mary janes are cute with the subtle and versatile floral pattern. These are comfortable enough for regular use especially running. The insoles, as the other reviewer said, made the shoes tight (they run narrower than expected). Zappos, please sell these in navy and black with dark soles version for school!

My daughter needed shoes she could run and play in, but also were cute and stylish. These fit the bill. The straps were the perfect length and the shoes are very comfortable. I would definitely recommend them! We had to use the thinner of the two insoles that came with these. The thicker ones made my daughter feel these were too tight. I love that they have this option, though!

Excellent arch support. The shoes look kind of clunky but it is nice that they have the flex fit system. The shoes seemed narrow.

This shoe was very tight near the heel, and my daughter complained about pain while wearing it.

Very well made, and lots of cute detail. They include and extra insole to extend the wearing time as childs foot grows. Flexible and 'grippy' sole. Was very happy with the shoes, but they only lost out to another style. Wish I could keep them all. Zappos & shipping partners very dependable even in snowy weather.

This shoe is great fit for my little runner. She is very active and wanted something cute, comfortable and durable for the playground.

We are huge pediped fans and my daughter wears the brand almost exclusively. This pair, however, seemed narrower in cute and did not feel true to size. We ordered two different styles, same size, both pediped for school shoes. The other style fit perfectly, true to our experience with the brand. But all I heard was "Too tight! It hurts! It hurts!" when we tried these on - both times. It seems that Barbara needs some more flex in her Barbara Flex.

My daughter wears pediped shoes almost exclusively and we love the brand. For us, these fell short. They were harrower than the other styles and she immediately complained about how tight and uncomfortable they were. We went with the Becky Flex instead - and they are absolute winners in terms of style and comfort.

The shoes were to rigid and hard and even if I know my daughter would get used to them and they would get softer after wearing them a few times I could not get my 7 yr old to use them so I had to return them.
