I was hoping these boots would be THE ONES ... and they were! I'm happy that Zappos had the size we needed because they were out of stock in her size on the RuffWear site and I needed them ASAP. Ellie is healing from "interdigital furuncles" and her front paws are quite sensitive. When she began limping on hikes, I knew I needed to get her high quality boots that fit right and allowed her to be active without affecting her gait. I LOVE these boots. They are just right in every way. I will order another pair for her back paws in case we need them for hot terrain or pavement this summer. She measured 2.5 for her front paws, so I sized down to 2.25 and they fit perfectly. Her back paws will most likely be a 2.00. I will also probably order a back-up pair for her front paws in case one gets lost on a journey! I love Ruffwear ... Ellie has 3 Front Range harnesses from RuffWear and they have all held-up very well. I have confidence that these boots will hold-up just as well. I highly recommend!!

These have been excellent for our elderly arthritic dog who could not get her legs organized under her on the slippy wood and linoleum floors. Gives her confidence to move around wherever she needs to. Was not as difficult to get her into these because they're short, and they stay on well.

So initially, I thought it was weird that these came in sets of 2, not 4 — don’t most dogs have 4 legs? But then my two pairs arrived, and I’d made a First Time Dog Owner mistake: My puppy’s front & back feet are quite a bit different in width! So hooray for Zappos’s easy return & exchange policy, & it turns out pairs of 2 make more sense than I’d thought. :)

Got my golden doodle fine. Stays on. Seems comfortable enough for her to wear. Prevents as much debris from coming into the house in her paws. Really needs a big higher coverage to do a better job.
