Cute shoe, but was too small in length. Tried a size up and they were too big.

This is my second attempt at purchasing a pair of Eric Michael sandals because I love the styles and colors but the sizing just doesn't work for me. For reference, I'm almost always a 7.5—once in a while an 8—so I ordered a size 38 in a previous pair only to find that the footbed was too short. Unfortunately, while the footbed of this pair, in size 39, fits correctly, the rest of the sandal is far too loose, meaning the straps provide no support and I'm unable to walk comfortably as a result. I'd read a previous reviewer's comments about having this difficulty and she was exactly right. There's just something off about the sizing, maybe in particular if you usually wear a half size.

This shoe is so pretty but doesn’t fit right. The footbed is too narrow for the with of the straps. 38 footbed was better but the straps too loose. 37 straps tight enough but footbed too small. I have wide to normal feet with a high arch. It seems like anyone would have a hard time comfortably wearing these because of this. I am bummed because they’re gorgeous and go with my dress perfectly, but there’s no way I could wear them.
