How annoying that you can't tuck away the backpack straps and use the bag as a tote when it suits you. When carrying as a tote, the annoying dangling, droopy backpack straps just hang there.

This is a great bag to take on vacation folds easy and very small and converts fast for daily use, would also be a great bag to take to the market! Nice straps and study backpack!

I don't *need* this to go with my Gear Warrior carryon (reviewed on its page), but it is going to be really useful as an under seat catch-all, TSA passage simplifier, and occasional overflow container. At 1100 cu. in. capacity, it'll be a fine overnight bag as well. The attached photo shows it in what will be its normal configuration, hung from the Gear Warrior's handle. It also shows the actual shade of blue, which to my eye is far more appealing than what Eagle Creek is showing. (The key ring on the front zipper pull is my idea; you could do that, too). And while I may never have occasion to pack it into its front pocket, I like the possibility of doing so.

I just got back from a 2 week trip in Asia and used this as my handbag everyday. I loved the option to use it as a backpack or a tote bag. I was able to carry everything I needed- wallet, rain jacket, water bottle, wet wipes, tissues, sunglasses etc and any small souvenirs I picked up. The small zip pocket was great to hold my phone and passport. This was my first purchase from Eagle Creek and will be sure to check their other offerings!

When I travel, I need options. I love this tote because when I travel with a travel pack, I can use it as my super lightweight personal item on the plane. And also when I get to wherever, I really like having the option of a tote for shopping markets, and the fact that it can be worn as a backpack for mini hikes is fantastic. I'm a HUGE fan of this Tote/Pack bag. It's a true travel game-changer.

Versatile and perfect for everyday use. I love the fact that you can use it as a regular tote or backpack, although I wouldn't recommend wearing for heavier item since there is no padding.

This seems to check all the boxes for a travel pack. easy to use and stylish. The only reason I didn't get it a 5 star rating is because the material is rougher than I expected (but probably more durable). #sweepstakes

This is a great portable packable tote. Nice amount of room inside and like that you have an outside pocket when in use. Also like the back pack straps but have found two things about them I don't care for: 1. They tend to slip/adjustments don't stay in place. 2. The straps twist at the bottom of the pack depending on how much weight is placed inside. Since there is no padding, this can be uncomfortable. This could easily be corrected by different stitching at the point of attachment of the straps at the bottom. I may take the pack to a shoe repair to address this issue. Otherwise the design is quite nice and great for a hands free extra carry option. Overall I'm happy with this purchase.
