The purse seems really nice, but I ordered it to be monogrammed with my wife's initials. It arrived quickly, but it wasn't monogrammed. Customer service did an excellent job of rushing a second order with "instructions to the warehouse" to be monogrammed. The replacement arrived very quickly, but still no monogram. The latest from customer service is for me to place another order. Um, ok. If I ordered the first one to be monogrammed and you guys tried to handle the first replacement, what's to make me believe third time will be a charm?

The leather is beautiful but function is disappointing. The magnetic pieces get in the way every time I want to get a credit card out of its slot. Snaps otherwise placed would have been a better choice for easy access. The metal pull on the zipper is unnecessarily big and adds bulk. As well, the slot for a driver's license is too small. It is a struggle to get my license in and out. Since I purchased as a final sale, I cannot return it.

I ordered, but unfortunately ended up returning, Hammitt's 110 North wallet. First, the positives: it's gorgeous and you can feel the silver hardware's quality (studding on each side & zipper pull). I also love the embossed palm leaves (although this technique caused the damage to the leather). The pistachio green color is dreamy and the zipper pocket in the back is useful and roomy. As for the cons, well... they outweigh the pros. I specifically downsized so I could use this wallet as I was coming from a zip-around continental wallet made by Dooney & Bourke. That was no problem, except the functionality in this Hammitt wallet was lacking, making the sacrifice of getting rid of certain cards not even worth it. If you see the attached photo associated with this review, I included 5 thumbnails to describe the issues with this wallet's overall design. There are two magnetic flaps, one on each side (see thumbnails 1,2, & 5), so that they attract to securely close the two halves together. However, your cards lie underneath these flaps, so every time one needs to remove their card(s), the flaps will inevitably get in the way. As a result, the leather on the flap eventually gets scuffed from removing/replacing one's cards each time they're utilized, or you have to have to move the flap by pushing it up out of the way with one hand while simultaneously sliding a card you need up & out with the other. This is just not practical & way more annoying than it seems. Another design flaw has to do with the embossed leather; It's subtle, but if you notice on thumbnail 3 & 4 where it's circled in highlighter, the leather ripped away from the stud on an outline of an embossed leaf. I doubt this occurs on the smooth or pebbled leather wallets that also have Hammitt's hallmark studding, as it appears to be just the nature of the embossing technique (where grooves are created and start to pull away from where the stud is placed). Less than a week of owning this product, I noticed that slight tear in the leather as seen in the photo. Hammitt's are truly beautiful & I read so many positive reviews before buying this wallet, but I personally do not recommend this style unless the aforementioned wouldn't bother you.

Terrible

I loved the quality and feel of this wallet, but if you put cards in all the slots and cash in the money compartments, the magnets do not hold the wallet closed. I'm going to return this to the store.

When transferring my 'stuff' into the wallet I found the top card slots in the top row on either side cannot be used because the tabs are in the way. I am so disappointed and annoyed that I'm not allowed to return it.

I was excited to finally get this wallet, that I've been looking at for months, on sale. However I regret buying it because it does not close when there are cards in it. I only had one card in each slot and the magnetic closure will not connect. Since I bought it on sale I cannot return it and wasted my money. So disappointed

the magnetic closures cover the credit card holder so you have to hold it up to put your credit card in. very annoying - to the point where I'm not using it. very disappointing.

The magnets do not keep it closed I keep losing cash

Who designed this? The magnetic tabs block the card slots, rendering them useless. Material feels and looks cheap. Quite a disappointment, returned immediately.

This is a beautiful wallet with wonderful design and style. I loved everything about it, however I had to return it because of the unusually pungent and persistent smell it carried. I aired it for months, cleaned it, did everything I could think of but the smell remained strong and unpleasant. This is the first (and hopefully only) time I have ever encountered this issue.

Wallet I received had a defect... one side not finished. Customer Service was very helpful but still waiting word on a replacement. Will update my review upon receipt of replacement.
