Really nice pack. Plenty of pockets. The harness is very comfortable even when loaded. I like that the compression straps go over the main zippers to add a layer of protection from someone easily accessing the compartments. My one suggestion would be to add a few attachment points for a carabiner clip or strap.

A nice commuter bag for day-to-day stuff is also a good pack for short weekend trips.

Great backpack. Wish it was just a little bit smaller though.

Had an "Old" Parsec32. Interior coating failed after 10-12 years so I threw it in the back closet. Got a TNF Recon. Hated it, the pockets were weird shapes and sizes. It was heavy with lower quality recycled materials. Two international trips later I emailed Osprey to inquire about the warranty. I sent it back and the said which equivalent pack do you want? Or do you want to wait 60 days for the new style Parsec26? Got the new Parsec and didn't like the new kickstand feature. It is rigid and was difficult for me to jam under a seat or cram in the overhead. So, I bought the Nebula32, and I really like it. (I don't think humans can love inanimate objects). Made with lower weight (higher quality) recycled materials than the TNF (I guess that's why TNF comes in at a lower price point). Soft and supple to stuff under seats of the 3 majors. External stuff section, 4 compression straps, sunglass pouch, 2 externals for 21oz Hydro flasks, or liter size Nalgene bottles, but a 32L pack is the largest personal bag along with your carry-on suitcase. it is large. So, I have an 18L Osprey Remnant I picked up on sale for $20(?) for day tripping.

I had a TNF Recon for years. After it wore out, I replaced it with this Osprey Nebula. The Nebula is a far better pack: lighter, more stable, fits better, easier to get into.
The Nebula is shaped a little taller and narrower than the Recon. It has a nice mesh pocket in the back that's great for stacking a jacket, snack, book, anything. Shoulder straps are nice, and the shape feels like I'm wearing it, rather than carrying around a heavy bag. Zippers work well. Laptop pocket is nice. The TSA-compatible 'split apart' mode for the laptop is a bit goofy and unnecessary, but it doesn't add any weight or complexity, so no big deal.
The gold color of the Nebula is super nice looking!
Two improvements: a) I wish the rear mesh pocket was more transparent, so I could see at a glance what was in there; b) I wish there weren't as many sections, or they didn't all go deep -- it makes it easy to lose small things into the depths. One day I'm probably going to find a dozen pens buried at the bottom of one of these sections.

This bag is great. I purchased the black color and it's very subdued and perfect for my style. The zippers have a flap that goes over them and I like the added security; it hides them well. The zippers will snag unless you make sure the flap is flipped back but I knew that before purchasing and it isn't a deal breaker. The water bottle pockets are great and the laptop compartment is amazing! I can place my laptop/tablet and utilize the other pocket for documents. Overall a great backpack and great brand. I love their lifetime warranty but saying that, this bag is very well built. Highly suggest this product.

As a busy nursing professor, I hated the tote bag or briefcase alternative. My bag often gets heavy when loaded fully so mounting it on one's back (even for short treks in an out of the hospital) is essential. Plus, it just feels less formal. I have had a few of these (I tend to buy a new one every 3 years just so it looks newer. The main plus is the roomy laptop compartment and huge surrounding compartment for computer cords and other more bulky stuff. The main compartment has rarely been too small. I carry multiple notepads, files, and even stuff an undergarment shirt (layering). I love the outer pockets for water bottles or glasses case. My only dislike it that some of the compartments are vast and less inner pockets so it's a bit of a "junk drawer" that engulfs some items resulting in having to dig to the bottom to see/find what's there. I also think the colors are a bit odd and limiting.

Nebula has been around for many-many years with numerous 'facelifts' to its design. To my opinion, this 2022 version got numbers of improvements compared to the 2019. I hate the flapping mesh compartment in the previous versions, but now the outer mesh compartment is connected to the upper compression strap, make a better overall snug-fit adjustment; good job!. When the bag is not full, it looks silly in the previous versions, but somehow Osprey improved the design, so that particular problem is now gone (this is the reason why I sold my 2019 version).
Nebula is perfect for a commuter or travel since it has lids to cover the zippers, which improves security. The downside of having lids is adding a bit of difficulty for zipping/unzipping, but that's OK for me. I got the black one, and I think the color combination is great; and I don't have to worry of fust and dirt. Although 32L is among the largest bag in its class, carrying heavy load is not recommended for this bag; as it doesn't have a load carrying hip belt.
Overall, it's definitely not for everyone, but this bag serves my activities well, office and traveling.

I use this as a grad student and as a working professional. I absolutely love this bag! It has a great laptop pocket and tons of separate compartments for chargers, pens, cords, etc. I love all the little features that make storage easy and compact. I can tighten this down and know it will be secure but also can wear it loose and comfortably. Would be awesome if there was also a slat for sliding onto a rolling suitcase for the airport.
