I had purchased a pair of the Steely Work Socks for myself while shopping for someone else and was really impressed. When it was time to get a few more pair for hiking season there was only one choice. First off - color choices. Lots of great colors and prints. The flying outhouse ones are awesome. Second - fit and height. They fit snugly and do not slide around. Quite comfortable and the micro crew length is perfect. Third - Value. They may seem a little pricey but in the event you ever manage to wear them out you can send 'em back and get a new pair.

Nothing better for the feet, winter or summer, awake or asleep!

They were too small. I have returned them for a refund. They look like really nice socks!

I tried bombas, and those lasted for a couple years before starting to disintegrate. These are about the same price, but made with wool so they are comfier and seem to have a better warranty. I'll probably order some more in the near future.

I like the thickness of the sock and warmth.

These fit great, and like every sock I've had from this company, are much softer than you would think wool socks could be. Just on a lark, I've been testing the whole "you don't really have to wash them all that much" claim, and (with the caveat that wear conditions have been work and a few moderate day hikes) so far so good. One day on, one day off, swapping out with another pair of Darn Tough socks, and they've made it through a solid week of wear without any noticeable smell. I'll probably break down and wash them this weekend just out of habit. My one -- not really complaint, but just something I've noticed -- is that the cushioning in the 1/4 midweight hiking sock is a bit more assertive than on this one. I like a good bit of cushion, and since I'm out of boots and using trail runners exclusively these days, future purchases will probably be the 1/4 style. But that's really a matter of personal preference, not a problem with the crew length.

As usual, Darn Tough have always been my go to sock company, for more ways than I can count!
