Hands down the best sock for durability, longevity, comfort and warranty. The last pair of socks you will own; the warranty is outstanding along with customer service. One needs to try a pair and then realize what they have been missing out on.

These are my first mid weight hiker. All of my others are ankles. I own a great many. Theyre perfect with hiking shoes I just got with ankles support. Maybe 3/4 height. They work with tennis shoes but Im definitely finding them a little thick for the fit Im used to Im lighter weight socks. Im an exact 9.5 shoe. This means I measure to 10.62 inches which I would also agree is exact on a tape measure of my foot. I had to return a size large purchased online for a medium. Id say they run long in the foot. These definitely have some thickness to them, though I would describe them as middle. More than a think sport sock.

Great socks for hiking and work

This is what I use in my mid high boots. Great cushion and fit. I can sure tell the difference between the new and old socks. The old have lost a lot of the cushion. Otherwise they have held up better that any other socks Ive used. Thanks for making an outstanding product.

Great sock, actually best I have ever worn. The cushion is excellent, not only did they cushion but I feel they gave support as well. I think we also need to get the word out that the XXL really do fit my big feet I wear a size 16 and these were a blessing. No maneuvering to get them comfortable. Heaven for my feet. I only wish they had them available with the different patterns and colors in my size. I always have not liked wearing socks that tall with sneakers so I ordered 5 more pair in the quarter height. I cant say enough about these comfortable, great fitting socks and I havent even mentioned the lifetime guarantee. I will wear darn tough the rest of my life!

Have worn them a bit, but the true test will be in a week when I hike the Tour du Mont Blanc. I'll report back!

Just bought my first pair at one of their distributors, and I can definitely say I didnt hesitate to make these my new everyday socks. I normally go for the cheap socks but I immediately bought 8 more pairs online. I will be buying more in the future!

Folks, the durability and performance of these socks are superb. I would recommend these for hiking in Colorado and they would probably be great in your neck of the woods too. Great fit, very comfortable and they're so good looking.

I bought these for my husband, who is a schoolteacher and who also likes to hike/backpack. He uses these socks for all of the above and really likes them. He normally wears through socks in no time since he's on his feet all day, but these hold up beautifully. The only potential downside is that he (like a lot of hikers, I imagine) has rather muscular calves, and even though these are micro crew, the tops still cut into his legs a bit after a long day. He's very lean, so I would imagine the effect would be even worse for folks with a heavier build.

A friend from Vermont gave me my first pair six years ago. Quickly became a fan! Very comfortable. Wear like iron. Dont get smelly. I now own 15 pairs in different colors and styles. Ill never buy another brand of socks.

Well, I am glad Darn Tough asked me to review my new socks because I was very surprised when I put the last three pairs on. It seemed instantly that the material was more stretchy and not as thick. Checking the posted material on package confirmed less wool and more nylon. Not what I wanted to see. Now the socks feel thinner and wont last as long in my opinion. My favorite socks in the whole world are now cheaper and dont serve me the same. I also bought new ankle socks and they go up my ankle further because of all the stretch. It seems all other companies cheap out in the name of profit and I just hope DT hasnt fallen too. I hope this changes. Thanks.

Great fit; regulate temps better than any other material and suitable for multiple wearings. Moreover, they allow me to run faster and jump higher than most other senior citizens in my neighborhood.

Your socks are comfortable, keep my feet warm, and they protect my feet when I hike. They fit perfectly. I love the warrantee and have only had to return one pair for replacement.
