These socks (size XL) actually match the size in the table! My shoe size is 13 and other socks are very tight (too short) whereas these fit well. There was a problem with the socks getting lost from the package during shipping and Darn Tough rapidly replaced them at no charge. I am very pleased with the socks and the customer support.

Great hiking sock. Its just the right length to avoid blisters and the right weight to keep your feet comfortable on the trail or in the city. These will slowly become by new daily instead of the mid-calf length.

Excellent quality socks. I got 3 pairs 1 ankle, 1 crew and 1 mid-calf length. I purchased 2XL as a personalized experiment. I have medium wide size 14 feet and my calves and ankles average diameter. Since I typically experience discomfort wearing XL sized socks for long periods (a full day) from the cuff of the sock, I hoped that a sock labeled 2XL would resolve that. The foot size is fine, really over tight (difficult to pull on) but a "size 15 - 17" 2XL sock is an okay length for a size 14 foot. Unfortunately, the cuff is way too tight the same as / no different than XL sock. I attached length, cuff diameter and resulting calf condition upon removing the sock. Not a sock designer but there's zero risk of your sock sliding down after you fight to get your foot into these socks. It might be nice if they were bigger not just a little longer. It seems only Darn Tough actually has 2XL socks.

Seems like a well made sock. Was a bit long in the toe for me. A little too much extra material. Men's size 9.
