Seriously one of the best quality bags I've purchased. It holds up to the wear and tear of my daily commute as well as the weekend demands. Highly recommend!

I got this bag because I started a new job that requires travelling once or twice a month. My favorite things about this bag are the quiet, smooth-rolling skateboard wheels, the little pouch at the top of the bag for sunglasses, travel documents, and electronics, and the fact that I got one in the Limestone color. I picked that color at first because I thought it was cool but its really been helpfully when I fly on smaller planes and have to valet check my carry-on at the gate. I know exactly which bag is mine after a flight when I'm waiting in the jetway and they're unloading everyone elses black carry-ons that all look the same. The interior is nice and spacious, enough room for 3-5 days worth of work clothes. Having a handle on every side is useful for maneuvering it while on the plane and when it's in the overhead bin. My only problem was that the extendable handle wouldn't lock in place when I put it down when my bag was new but with time it's loosened up a bit and now it locks down fine so that problem fixed itself. Overall, this has been a great carry-on and I'd totally get another one if the airlines ever manage to destroy this one.

I needed a better suitcase for frequent business travel, so I bought this. It can be carried on if needed, but still has a ton of space. Several colleagues were amazed at how much I was able to fit, including five bottles of wine and sake for one trip (along with all my clothes). Plus the skateboard wheels roll so smoothly, the whole thing looks very sleek and stylish. I think I sold a few just from using it.
The only complaint I have is that the access can be awkward. Since this is a clamshell, as much stuff is going on the top as the bottom section. This means it's easiest to pack, and access, on a large flat surface, like a bed. That's fine if you can close it up and move it when you need to use the bed (I tend to keep my suitcase open in one spot in my hotel room). Otherwise it can be a little awkward. I'm not sure how to do it differently, since it's the clamshell that helps cram in so much stuff! In spite of this, it is still worth buying!

My first use was a month long trip to the Canadian Rockies. This handled all my big items with ease, multiple pairs of hiking boots, heavy coats, fleece liner, walking sticks and a mess of clothes. Very pleased with it's performance.

I'm a flight attendant and my old rollaboard was on its last leg and I did some looking around and kept coming back to the Timbuk2 Copilot. I was a little apprehensive at first but a friend really liked his so I went for it and I'm so glad I did. The bag is extremely functional, I like the clam-shell opening and all the pockets and the easy access to compartments while the bag is in the overhead bin. I use public transportation to get to the airport and its very nimble and does well on crowded busses and trains.

I originally ordered the medium and even though everyone said they had no trouble using it as a carry-on I was skeptical when I saw it, so I ordered the small to compare. I decided the small would have plenty of space for a long weekend trip, so I returned the medium and I'm happy I did. The small fit perfectly in the overhead bin and I was able to pack more than enough for a 4 day trip. Very happy with the bag and it will be my go to bag from now on.

There are many compartments, they seem to be the perfect size and configuration for things like shoes, charger cables, quick access outside pocket for stuff I want during a flight, etc. Couldn't be happier with this luggage!

This is my first luggage roller and my expectations were high. I am glad Timbuk2 exceeded it. I was able to fit more than I was expecting and still travel on the light side!

I like the 2 compartments. One easy access if need to grab a jacket. Light weight. Still enough space to fold a big jacket between the 2 compartments and still close the bag.
Wish I could attach a bag to it with an included hook to drag.

I use my carry on size Timbuk2 for most travel, but for longer trips, I needed a bigger bag. The extra large is great and offers significantly more capacity. The bag is very light (before I load it up) and has great accessibility and organization.

1. Have bought both the 2013 and the 2015 models, 2015 is sleeker and the internal areas are easier to access.
2. Capacity- I can fit ~2 weeks of business clothes and accessories (considering 1 pair of shoes and reusing trousers etc). Max for two people is ~1week as need multiple items. I also have the backpack for electronics etc.
3. Does not fit PC laptops in front pocket. M is big for some smaller regional airlines... board early or gate check.
4. 2013 model has faded, probably salt/rain etc. Have not had cleaned.
5. 2015 model has easier access to things packed in main compartment
6. Have had flight attendants and passengers comment on how lightweight the 2013 model is. This and the multiple handles make it good for being short and lifting etc.
7. Pulling long distances could be easier doesn't turn quickly or push in front well. Screws on handle have loosened some on 2013 model.

Skateboard wheels are smooth and quiet. Love the ease of access to things on top (jacket, hat, liquids for TSA, etc).

I bought one over a year ago and it has been all over the world. I bought this one for my grandson's high school graduation. He is leaving for drama school in Los Angeles. The perfect send off for the adventures he will encounter! It is just right for a carry-on that hold a lot but is still lightweight. Very nice looking is a bonus.

I love the handles on all sides and that it isn't just the typical black, the inside closures and outside access to one part of the bag.
The zippers seem a bit sluggish but hopefully I won't have any problem.

Great quality and surprisingly lightweight for a bag of such high capacity. Literally holds at least 30% more than a similar sized bag I own.

Wheels are great quality. I love the easy access to liquids -- there's a special zip compartment for that -- that makes going through security easier. I fit so much in it, I love the clamshell construction, seems like it fits more than a standard style where you pack everything on one side only. Very happy with it.

I tried 3 other rolling on bags. This is the only bag (size small true size 21" tall) to solve the problem, and efficiently fit into the overhead bin on international flights. I'm amazed how much stuff I can fit into the bag. It looks really cool too.

This is my first Timbuk2 bag, and I love it. It's sturdy, packs well, easy access to contents, rolls great down the aisle on the plane, and the handles make it easy to lift and store in the overhead bin. Should work great as a solo-bag for shorter trips.

As the airlines get more and more picky about what can be used as a carryon and what cannot...this case nails it! The space is great inside, the access from the outside is fantastic, and the size in perfect...I mean PERFECT for the plane. Thanks Timbuk2!

I bought this bag for the 2 to 3 day trips I take every month or more. It is well organized and easy to access. The collapsing pull handle is strong, long and sturdy, and it functions very well. The wheels are quiet and sturdy, which is a huge step up from any other bag I have owned and I have owned a number of them. The only issue with the wheels is that I walk so fast through the airport that the wheels can get a bit wonky as I'm weaving through the crowd. The wheels want to generally go straight and sometimes the bag can turn on its edge and stop rolling. But, I'm sure most travelers will not experience this because they don't speed through airports like I do. The interior space is a bit limited and the zippers are a bit stiff, but overall it is a very well designed and made roller bag.
