My teen wears ankle-foot orthotics (leg braces) for which it's incredibly difficult to find shoes. These Nike's have the zipper across the back, specially designed to accommodate many orthotics. Unlike the other few shoes we've managed to cram her braces into, where her braces keep the shoe from completely closing and therefore draw attention to her braces, these Nike's fit over the braces so well, there is no change in their overall appearance at all. I HIGHLY recommend trying these if your child/teen has orthotics. And I always recommend Zappo's for their excellent customer service and fast shipping.

We had just gone to a local place to try on shoes. She was running a 7 youth there. We ordered this in the 7 Big Kid and it was HUGE. We actually were debating on if she needed a 6.5 or 6; however, they only had 6.5 left so we have returned the 7 and ordered the 6.5. She loved them in looks, but were definitely to big.

My daughter loves these. We got the wide size which made them a little big. If you get wide you may need to size down half a size.

My daughter was pretty excited about these shoes! She said they are comfortable and the color is a plus for me. She can be rough on shoes so I love that these are black! Happy with my purchase!

So happy to find a wide sneaker for my daughter especially in Nike. These are great for school and every day wear. Ordered a 4W and she has a little room in this style. She’s a true 4W. Hope to see more wide shoes offered in the future.

Great for my daughters orthotics it's the only shoe I will buy.

My daughter had to change her low ankle orthotics to the longer ones that go up under the knee area and so I had to find shoes that would fit . I had a hard time finding any until I came across the Nike Flyease. Her orthotics are very bulky and other shoe brands didn't fit except for these. I love these and needed to purchase the wide fit since the orthotics were so wide and bulky on top. The only thing I have noticed from time to time w/ the zipper, on one of the shoes the zipper pull will get stuck in a strange way and I have to adjust it and that can be a bit bothersome but overall the shoes itself is great and worth the price when there's a great sale going on. Besides the zipper pull that I have an occasional issue with I would give this 5 stars.

Daughter wears AFO braces and we love the ease and fit of these Nike tennis shoes ...she was so happy... However, the zipper broke within less than a couple of weeks, and believe me , we are very careful zipping them so as to not break them.. Didn't matter. We had a black pair too and the zipper also broke on those as well! So sad, especially since she had no other shoes to wear! We're now trying Billy footwear.. Hopefully they won't break!

Loved the concept of the Flyease for my daughter with cerebral palsy to fit over her AFO braces. Worked great, not clunky or heavy, super easy to put on! Unfortunately, the zipper was made poorly and broke not long after using them.
