I had this same bag previously and it held up to 8 years of weekday commuting on public transit. It was starting to get a bit beat up on the bottom (still functioned perfectly), so I decided that it was time to finally get a new one. I didn't hesitate to buy the same thing again.

Got this as a present for my brother, he's traveling abroad and needed a smaller bag that could hold his laptop or other things when he walks around the city, but also not be as bulky as a backpack. Lots of pockets and well built. Might pick one up for myself later.

The lightweight travel messenger has been a great everyday bag that has proven to be durable so far. I do like the mechanism used to adjust the strap very quickly. I only wish they had more color options for this version as I like the navy color but wish the buckles were a different color.

I really like this bag. It's noticeably lighter and more flexible than the classic style, but doesn't feel like it's sacrificing quality or protection. If anything there are more options for protecting your stuff. There is an added magnetic closure strap that can loop over the top, to keep a laptop or other bulky items from accidentally falling out while the flap is open and you're rummaging for smaller things . That same strap could also be used to easily secure an umbrella or jacket between the front of the bag and flap. Great if you don't want to put wet stuff in your bag! The divider is also less rigid, so the bag definitely contours to your body better if you're just carrying clothes or smaller items. My only real complaint is that there aren't as many color options, but aside from that I feel this bag is a definite upgrade and true to its namesake.

This is my second purchase, I got a medium size prior to this and I love it! This smaller one is perfect for my everyday stuffs. Always love timbuk2 great quality and look awesome

I wanted to try using a crossbody bag instead of my backpack, which I love and is also Timbuk2. The strap is comfortable, lots of space in the bag. Well-made.

I use this bag to go to and from work every day. I am a notary public, and need to carry some supplies with me ato various locations. It's a classy looking bag that gets the job done without the backpack feel.

I bought a small messenger bag about 10 years ago and used it almost daily since I bought it. It is still in fantastic condition. I gave it to my son recently because he needed a shoulder bag at the last minute for a trip, so I bought myself another. It's as wonderful as the first bag. The size (small) is perfect for packing a laptop, book, and personal items. Adjusts easily and has convenient pockets for keys, phone, etc. I highly recommend these bags!

I use this when I ride my moped. Not too bad and not too small. Can fit exactly what you need.

This messenger bag is beautifully made. Holds a lot of stuff for it's size, easily fits a 13" macbook, water bottle, all the stuff you carry in your purse and room for a sweater. Very comfortable strap, easy to adjust and really cool looking. I will have it for years, I am sure!

I love this bag! I bought it to carry my laptop into work. It fits my 13 inch laptop with room to spare. It is also less bulky than other bags I was looking at. Has plenty of various storage pockets. Great buy that I know will last me for years.

I needed a bag to have under the seat in an airplane, so I could access things easily during a flight. This bag works perfectly for that. It is large enough to hold what I want to have easily accessible, but small enough that it does not take up too much room and is easy to carry.

Perfect sized bag for everyday wanderings with my MacBook pro. Can feel bulky and tip over (if sitting up) when too many items are placed in it.
