This sandal is great if you don’t own a gladiator style one. Very cute, and comfortable. A little break in time, but I habe arthritic feet and these have been a great option, especially for sunmer. My foot runs medium to wide and the narrow’s width is adequate.

Gorgeous! Pretty sandal with substantial leather straps, and lacing. I originally bought them in black, but about a week or two later saw them in frosted metallic pink rose, and I wanted them. Ultimately I am returning the black and keeping the pink!

I wasn’t sure about the style when I ordered them but once I got them on my feet I fell in love. They are so fun! Turns out they go with so many outfits, just about everything! My favorite is a long jersey skirt and t-shirt. I’m a big Birkenstock fan already based on their comfort but with these shoes you get both comfort and a fun new style. I bought the same size I wear for all other Birkenstocks. I have a wide foot so the adjustable string tie allowed for a perfect fit.

Love the Papillio Cleo! Purchased in in the Frosted Metallic Rose and Silver colors to freshen up my Spring and Summer wardrobe. The Rose is like a nude and goes with anything and everything. The Silver like a flashy white and also goes with everything and anything you would wear with white. Came back for the black to complete my collection. They are as easy to put on as my favorite sneakers. A fashionable update to the Gladiator sandal with the support of the classic Birkenstock footbed.

I’m possibly in love. These are expensive so I’m thinking on them one more day before I commit. But I really think they will be my faves this summer. If you’re considering, go with your normal birk size.

Purchased in the Metallic Frosted Rose and love it! The color is basically an a nude, which I can dress up or down easily. They are as easy to get on as a pair of sneakers and as comfortable!

I bought these for my daughter for her birthday. These are so nice and look so attractive, I am buying myself a pair. Of course, I love anything Birkenstock.

Love them! For my 4th pair of Birks I wanted something different. They fit well and are very adjustable. Figured they would be for ‘going out’ but they are surprisingly comfortable for all-day walking. Small complaint is the laces need to be tied just so or they come undone. I have the brown leather—high quality—but it is unlike the oiled leather on other Birk styles. I’ve worn them almost daily for 6 weeks, and I’m still happy.

I read lots of reviews before buying these shoes. I have 3 different styles of Birkenstock shoes, all in size 40. Due to many reviews saying these ran very large, I ordered a 39. BAD IDEA. My feet did not fit down into the shoe like they properly should on a Birkenstock type shoe. I've returned the shoe and am not reordering. They were pretty cute, but I'm not sure I want to deal with the leather ties. I prefer the easy slip on style of the Mayari. Good luck in your purchase. Order your normal size and you should be happy.

Loved the look of this shoe. Would order in every color EXCEPT that the straps were too stiff for me. They irritated my skin. Nubuck is better for me.

I was unhappy with these sandals and unfortunately had to return. The arch support is not as good the regular Birkenstocks. I have a high arch and need great support. The Papillos fall short.

good looking for Birkenstock but the size was too small, my second toe nail was going right on the edge and it was painful. unfortunately they had to go back and since I'm a 11 there was no bigger size.

Loved the way these looked, but they just didn't fit quite right. I ordered size 39 - I usually wear an 8.5 or 9 - and they would have been fine except that my large toe on one foot hit right on the grip bar. I also felt like the edge of the strap hit my pinky toes in a way that would rub. I may return for a 40, but I think those will be too large. Bummer.

I really wanted to like these. They are on target with fashion but the front strap was too tight and rubbed. Also, i had a hard time keeping the leather string/strap tied when walking. It would loosen and untie when walking.

I wanted to love these. But like another reviewer said, they look cheap. Long time Birkenstock wearer- normally a 39 (8 1/5), but that’s were waaaay to big- I don’t think even the 38 would have been small enough. Didn’t love enough to find out.

These are shockingly cheap looking and light weight, even for papillio. The sizing looks like kids’ shoes. Really strange for Birkenstock.

The arch on this sandal seems to me to be more pronounced than the "normal" birk footbed. It was too much for my flat feet. I need arch support, but not that MUCH!! Also, it seems like a lot of money for so little leather. A little too flimsy on the strapping system, yeah I know it's "gladiator" style but you'll see when you try them!

Hideous in a large size. Probably cute for small feet.

Hated them. They are so stinking cute, and unbelievably uncomfortable. The straps on top irritated my skin, and to have them cinched tight enough was uncomfortable too. Definitely going back.
