Wore them right out of the box to do some walking and hiking trails. So comfortable, no blisters or tired feet. Did get them wet while walking though a creek. The boots dried overnight. My new
favorite outdoor shoes!

I bought these hiking shoes for a trip to Washington. I tried about 6 different pairs of shoes before settling on these. We went to Mount Rainier and did a lot of hiking including some with some pretty steep trails. We then finished our trip in Seattle and did a lot of city walking. The first couple of days my feet really hurt and I thought I had picked the wrong hiking shoe for me. However, after switching out the insoles for ones with better arch support (I have high arches) these got more and more comfortable. After a week of walking about 4-6 miles per day I love these shoes. They give excellent traction on dry and wet terrain, give good ankle support, make hiking more comfortable and they’re cute. They aren’t the waterproof ones but they don’t get really wet unless it’s raining a lot. The one time they got really wet they dried overnight (I took out the insole and opened them up as much as I could). I would definitely buy these again!

Just finished climbing a Colorado 14er and these performed beautifully. Comfortable, supportive, lightweight. My previous pair of hiking boots were at least 15years old, these were a great replacement.

LOVE these!! I live in Colorado Rocky Mountains at 8700ft. I can't get enough of hiking with Salomon X Ultra Mid 3 Aero. My rocky and forested property has areas of 40* incline. My ankles are kept comfortable and stabilized. Gripping on rocks and loose forest floor holds you in place when descending. I often run in them because I know I will go off trail, due to my wandering curiosity. They are lightweight and kept me warm through the fall. I do find with the lower back that I pick up smaller gravel entering the boot so I have to ensure the laces are tight. Happy hiking!

Love these! Tried 4 pairs of hiking boots, all in same size. These, although a tad longer, were the most comfy by far. Yes, sand will probably go through mesh, but so does the breeze which will be great during hot summer hikes. Feels like a good running shoe with very cushy ankle support. Very adjustable. I wear a 9.5 in boots, have a narrow foot, with narrower heels, and a problematic pinky toe on one foot. I did add vionic 3/4 insoles, as I also have pronation and need extra arch support. No break in needed. So comfy, that I'm in no hurry to take them off after being on my feet teaching all day.

These fit fine- I ordered a full size up to accommodate a thick hiking sock and orthotic- could have been a 1/4 size bigger. I wore them first day for 2 miles with no issue. The tongue of shoe was thick and took some getting used to. I debated on these, the Gortex version of these and an arc’teryx Acrux version and opted for these of the 3.

I appreciate the color and the traction on these. Looking forward to my winter walks here in New England.

my preference would be a little more cushion in insole.

Have been using this shoe for daily dog-walking over rough ground for a few weeks. It is light, offers good ankle support and as I have fallen arches offer good instep support. It is not waterproof, if water reaches the mesh you will have wet socks. I have purchased Salomon mid boots for the last 8 years and always get a UK size 6, the reason for not giving it 5 star is that this shoe is quite a snug fit. It only just fits me and I have narrow feet. I would suggest going up 1/2 a size than what you would normally get.

I have been doing a lot of hiking over the last 3 months. These boots need more cushion and support in the insoles. I use extra heavy weight smart wool mountaineering socks. After 3 miles, my feet start aching, especially in the toe area and arch area. These
shoes are okay on soft, sandy surfaces. But, hurt on hard surfaces like pavement or hard-packed shell-rock/gravel trails. The tread is fine going over rocky terrain or any terrain. It's the interior cushion/support that needs improvement. After 5 months, hiking trails that are about 3 - 6 miles in length (about 2 - 3 times per month), I am starting to hate these boots as the padding is wearing down. I question how much longer I am going to wear these boots before tossing them in the garbage.

ALMOST, but not quite. Good support, good toe box area, good construction and style. Unfortunately, the heel area does not grip firmly enough. (I have a hard time finding a brand that holds my heel down well. :( ) So sadly, I have to return this and keep looking.

I have to return these because the 11 was too small, but even if they hadn't been too short I don't think I would have kept them. There is a clunky Frankenstein feel to these boots, not like other brands I have worn before.

These boots are not good for walking on sand. The mesh is very porous, and the boot fills up quickly. I'd return them, but I've worn them already.

Great traction, no slipping on a long 20-mile hike. Excellent toe protection along the front as well and plenty of padding for your feet on the inside. The laces stayed put but were too long and I ended up tripping over them which gave me a bit of a scrape, which I usually end up with at least one during a long hike :-(. I also noticed a tear along the seam that started on the left boot's upper front side portion after this long hike. The one thing that I did not like is there were portions of the trail that were sandy and the top portion allowed sand inside which meant when I stopped I had a lot of sand inside my boo the shoelaces kept coming untied as well. Overall really disappointed in this shoe. I was looking for a non-waterproof summer hiking boot, and I think if the fit wasn't an issue these would be great, they are super breathable and lightweight. The fabric is not durable I saw a little hole right when I got them but after I when for hikes I kept opening more and more now there are six big holes in the fabric of the shoes. Please make the fabric breathable and durable Thank You
