Purchased these specifically for OCR racing this year. Didn't even need to break them in! Put them on, lined up at the starting line and completed two races without any issues. Stable, comfortable and most importantly - grip! Lugs are deep and reasonably soft so they can handle hard ground, rocks, mud and obstacles without difficulty. Highly recommended!

I have run 50Km in single session with no foot issues, surprising comfort for a lightweight shoe. Best grip ever experienced. New lace and garage configuration is convenient to use.

I have several pair. I wear one pair for softball (as do many other players I know). The others I wear with shorts and jeans everywhere I go! I absolutely love all of these. I would really like to see a pair of white trimmed in a color. That's the only thing missing.....a white pair!

I bought these shoes after reading other reviews... most of the reviews said that the speed 2 runs narrow... I have a border line wide foot and I didn't find these to be narrow at all. They are snug around my heel ant the bridge of my foot but still very comfortable. I was very pleased with this purchase and find that the other reviews that I read really misrepresented the actual fit of this shoe... if you are discouraged by the review, don't be! They are a great pair of shoes!

cette chaussure est choix idal pour les terrains gras ! Le grip est parfait pour envoyer "dr dans le pentu" dans la boue tout en ayant un drop confortable et performant. la chaussure et un peu troite et il m'a fallu 2 sorties pour tre vraiment l'aise.

The first time I used these shoes I went for a loop in Colorado National Monument and the shoes performed exceptionally well in the snow, ice, sand, mud, and dry dirt trails! The only time my feet complained was on the way-longer-than-anticipated pavement section back to the car to complete the loop. I've since used these shoes on variable condition trails where there is enough dirt and rock to not want shoes with spikes, but enough ice that you want good grip. I have yet to slip on the ice in these shoes, even when bombing downhill. I cannot recommend them enough.

trs contente de ces chaussures car tres confort au niveau du talon et de la semelle. Par contre j'ai dchir le tissu sur le dessus de la chaussure trop facilement... (en laissant trainer mon pied sur une racine mais pas d'accroc...) Ca parrait surprenant que la chaussure se soit dechirer aussi facilement ! c'est vraiment dommage, et pas acceptable pour une chaussure d'ultr atrail et vu le prix qu'elles coutent ! Autre point : c'est difficile de les enfiler... C'est un produit trs complet en terme de confort et performance et pour a, je les recommande, mais il faut amliorer la qualit/dure de vie, ou revoir le positionnement prix... !

Voila 6 ans que je run avec cette lab, mais dommage qu'elle soit toujours aussi fragile sur le dessus au niveau du pli avec le bout du pied, dchure aprs 300km...

I have run in the S/Lab Sense Ultra 1 and then the double winged and now single winged Ultra 2's. The Ultra 1 is by far the best shoe I have ever worn. If I had known Salomon was going to discontinue that version of the model so quickly I would have bought 10 pairs. The upper was so comfortable, like wearing a sock. The more rounded toe box was perfect for my feet. The feel across various terrain was great. I was also able to get 800 km out of them after running in a lot of rough, rocky terrain in the Alps and the Rockies, and they are still in good shape (see photo). The first pair of Ultra 2's I wore are still pretty good, but they don't hug your foot in the same way. I got to about 350km and both shoes split in the same spot, which is frustrating for a relatively expensive shoe. I still liked the shoe, but didn't love it. I am just getting rolling with the latest iteration, and they seem ok, but still not as comfortable as the Ultra 1. I also have the Ultra Pro which is a little stiff, and the Sense Ride which is not up to the same quality standard as the S/Labs. I still can't understand why the Ultra 1, which apparently was really popular and very well rated had such a short life cycle. Why not keep that model alongside these one's? Please bring it back!!!

F?r mich der mit Abstand beste Ultraschuh. Leicht, super ged?mpft, griffige Sohle. Eigentlich perfekt. W?re da nicht dieses d?nne Meshgewebe in der Zehenbox. Da hatte ich nach nicht einmal 300 km L?cher im Bereich des gro?en Zeh. Allerdings wurde mir der Schuh von Salomon anstandslos ersetzt.

Se me han roto por la unin del upper con la puntera, por lo que veo es un fallo comn. Las compr en Primavera y aunque por lo dems son maravillosas, por el precio que tienen no s si vale la pena unas nuevas. Est incluido en la garanta este problema?

J'avais le premier mod?le qui ?tait beaucoup moins agr?able. Cette nouvelle version est un peu plus souple et l?g?re, l'amortis est au rendez-vous et la stabilit? nous permets d'?tre serein sur quasiment tous les types de terrains. Une premi?re paire avec des d?fauts (usures pr?matur?es) m'a ?t? tr?s rapidement remplac?e par le SAV Salomon. Je profite de ce moment pour vous dire ma d?ception de ne plus pouvoir acheter votre slab wings 8 qui ?tait parfaite pour les entra?nements et les moyennes distances. J'avais le premier modle qui tait beaucoup moins agrable. Cette nouvelle version est un peu plus souple et lgre, l'amortis est au rendez-vous et la stabilit nous permets d'tre serein sur quasiment tous les types de terrains. Une premire paire avec des dfauts (usures prmatures) m'a t trs rapidement remplace par le SAV Salomon. Je profite de ce moment pour vous dire ma dception de ne plus pouvoir acheter votre slab wings 8 qui tait parfaite pour les entranements et les moyennes distances. La 9 est elle au programme de 2020? Merci de votre retour.

Agr?ablement surpris sur mes premi?res sorties par le confort, je trouve que la chaussure s?use relativement vite au niveau de la semelle... dommage. Mais bon produit quand il a moins de 400km. A noter que le mesh ne s?est pas perc? comme sur les versions pr?c?dentes.
