I have been running with these all my hilly training runs and it has been very good at that. I like the fit and feel really much and it does give me enough cushioning. The main con is that after 180 km's, bot shoes has a hole where my big toe is. Previous model had also weak upper mesh, but it has not been improved for this year. I hope this is really fixed in the next version.

Comprate a natale 2018 e utilizzate per circa 200 km , sulla punta sopra l'alluce nella scarpa dx inizia a sfilacciarsi, alcuni tasselli della suola proiezione avampiede sono scomparsi , forse ha una calzata troppo stretta nell'avampiede. Per il Top di gamma mi aspettavo qualcosa in piu'.

Der Schuh ist nach wie vor super, aber die Qualitt und Verarbeitung der Details hat abgenomment. Fhrt zu hohem Verschleiss, ich hatte bereits nach 200km Lcher in beiden Schuhen vorne oben beim bergang von Stoff zu Schutzplastik. Vorgngermodell hielt lnger und 2017er Modell nachwievor ungeschlagen.

J'ai achet? cet article le mois dernier pour l'Ultra Race, petit b?mol si la chaussure est tr?s confortable, l'accroche n'est pas vraiment ? la hauteur pour des chaussures haut de gamme, le moins que l'on puisse dire est qu'elles n'aiment pas la boue !!!

Usures pr?matur?es du mesh (avec un trou sur le devant de la chaussures) et sur la semelle apr?s 300 kilom?tres. Tr?s bonnes chaussures avec un chaussant remarquable et un confort excellent mais ne peut convenir sur un ultra... elles so t beaucoup trop fragiles et ? ce prix l? ce n est pas normal. Ils faudrait que j en ach?te 2 paires pour r?aliser mon plan d entrainement et une 3?me pour mon ultra de fin d'ann?e.

Usures prmatures du mesh (avec un trou sur le devant de la chaussures) et sur la semelle aprs 300 kilomtres. Trs bonnes chaussures avec un chaussant remarquable et un confort excellent mais ne peut convenir sur un ultra... elles so t beaucoup trop fragiles et ce prix l ce n est pas normal. Ils faudrait que j en achte 2 paires pour raliser mon plan d entrainement et une 3me pour mon ultra de fin d'anne.

I thought these would be a good long distance racing shoe and perhaps do well in the mountains I run. I usually race in the sense pro 3 and I love those! These have a similar fit, but I don't feel quite as sturdy and my arches feel real weird in them occasionally on the easier trails. The grip is not the best, but also not the worst. I would not treat them on slick rock or super technical stuff. They are just a bit bulky for that. These are also quite firm so don't expect a cushioned ride. They aren't uncomfortable shoes, but I also wouldn't call them comfortable. I end up hiking in these more than anything else. I wanted to love these, but I don't think Salomon got it quite right this time.

The shoes felt great till about 3 miles in. Then I started getting a blister on my ankle. These shoes are probably best for 2 miles or less. Or wrap your feet. For the price you pay for them they are not worth a quarter size blister on your ankle.

These look great but are a bit narrow. Love the sleek look of them and the traction is great.

First off I'd like to say how much I loved the original Speed. The new model has some great new features such as the new upper fabric and relocation of the lace pocket and they have kept the fantastic grippy sole from the original Speed. But for some reason I can't work out Salomon has decided to get rid of the debri guard and not sealed the tongue at the base. This allows mud and trail debris to wash straight into the toe box via gaps at the base of the tongue making this shoe completely unsuited to the terrain it's marketed at. This fault is also on other Salomon models designed for mud which is why I went for the original Speed when it came out.

I bought the S/LAB UTLRA 2 this spring (May 2020) and ran around 150km in them. Less than 6 months after the shoes have started breaking down. The mesh is very, very thin and not reinforced to prevent tearing (think rip-stop fabric). Therefore, I have holes on the lateral of the shoe (to the sides of the little and big toes), as well as on top of the shoe, just above the big toe. Very disappointed in a premium shoe that although comfortable, light and with great traction, is incredibly frail considering what it is built for: ultra running...

I had these shoes delivered yesterday and was excited to get out on them. Did 8.2 miles on single track trail with 1830' gain and decent. Got to the bottom and my lugs were already chewed up. At this rate I can't imagine these shoes last more than a few weeks.

Le fit est parfait, fan de cette chaussure, malheureusement ? partir de 15K mes mollets se durcissent et impossible de continuer comme cela. S'agissant du premier mod?le je me demande si je vais passer ? la version 2 ????

I bought the shoes last year in March (03/2019), but the mesh tears very quickly. It is too fragile... For a shoe that expensive, this is unacceptable ...

Chaussures achetes au mois d'octobre. Environ 15 sorties de 20 30 km. Le MESH est perc au bout des chaussures. Vraiment trs du vu le prix exorbitant. Je vais finir par aller voir ailleurs.

I've been trail running in Salomons for more than a decade, always opting for the lightest model, but after my experience with this shoe I'm shopping other brands. I can't fugure out what they've done that ruined this shoe for me but the back is stiff and narrow and gives me blisters even after breaking them in a problem I've never had with Salomons until now.
