Walking shoe, not at all comfortable, especially the left foot, would not recommend this shoe for someone with a wide foot, I did order the 2e, I think the 4e
would be too wide.

I have NB 990, size 12 AA, that fit perfectly. My narrow foot is hard to fit. I ordered the 847v3 online in 12AA. They did not fit and I had to return them.

I have a white pair like the grey ones I just bought. The material is different and the grey looks metallic. I do not like the dark grey, because it does not look like the shoes online.

This was a horrible "upgrade". I could not wear these shoes for more than an hour and even that had me in tears. Bring back V2. Now I will have to spend time only seeing if ANYONE has this shoe in V2. When I took them back, the lady told me that even the employees do not like them.
I think they are true to size, but the inside is significantly smaller.

I bought TWO pair of SKECHERS for what NEW BALANCE charged me for one pair, and they're every bit as good of a walking shoe as NEW BALANCE.
GOOD-BYE NEW BALANCE!

Im in tears1 Ive had tried and tried to get shoes I can wear without consent pain. I bought these thinking the deeper toe box would help horrible bunnions and severe hammertoes. I wanted them to work so bad. While the toe box is deeper the rigid leather cuts right accross the hammertoes making them even more painful because there is no give. Is this hopeless?

These are absolutely not a replacement for the V2's. Not as deep, heel slips, had to return. Please bring back the V2's, cannot find anything else that is comparable.

I agree with Love the V2! Have 3 pair! These are nothing like the V2 & not same comfort level at all. Very disappointing.

Have three pairs of worn-out 847v2 and loved them. When needed new was told no longer make so got the 847v3. But it has always hurt. Have looked and looked and waited and waited. Still no 847v2. I concur with those who say the v3 is inferior and hurts. I keep getting the soles re-glued on the 847v2s and they look terrible but are comfortable. While the 847 v3 sits in closet because hurts. Desperately need to buy new 847v2s with mesh but can't find anywhere. P-L-E-A-S-E L-I-S-T-E-N T-O U-S AND MAKE AGAIN.

These 847-3 I purchased aren't anything like the 847 I had in the past, as usual a company took a great product and changed it, now it's complete junk

I am searching desperately for a good substitute for the v2. The v3 was actually uncomfortable! Heel slippage, inadequate support, and too tight in the toe box. I need a supportive mesh walking shoe, and with the sloppy update to the v3 I may have to leave the brand altogether.

I loved the original. The version 2 was not as good but I managed with it. The version 3 is terrible. Quality has deteriorated, size and fitting are different with each color, material and cushioning are inferior. I see now that I am not the only one who can no longer use this shoe and have gotten no support when I speak to the representatives. I miss the original or v2 and wish NB would bring either back.

This is the third pair of 847's that I have purschased. The first two were the v2 versions and I was very happy with them. Ordered a third pair, expecting a v2 but was sent the v3 style. They are larger, seems to have less padding around the shoe collar. My foot ends up slipping around, no matter how tight I tie the shoe. Won't be buying these again.
Disappointed,

Have purchased all three versions of the 847 and the quality and fit have declined each time. This shoe is so much wider that the rollbar feature is worthless. In addition, they are so deep that they look like clown shoes. Will now shop for another brand for my walking shoes.

I found the shoe smart looking. But when I tried the shoe on the shoe string would not fit in the last eyelet so there was no way it would fit properly.

I wish you hadn't changed the v2 as the v3 doesn't fit the same way. Don't know what I will do now.

So disappointed with NB shoes. Have been wearing them for years but they are not the same quality now. This shoe does not fit like the original and the tongue migrates to the side constantly.

I too loved the original 847s and bought two pair right away. But then I bought v2, they said it is just the same but It was not the same at all!!! I am an avid walker and the 847s were my favorite shoes of all time but the 847v2 was my worst shoe ever. Why ruin a good thing and don't tell me they are the same because obviously they are NOT!

I absolutely loved the original 847's for women. Since then, both v2 and v3, in my personal opinion, have ruined the shoe to the point that I can't wear the new 847v3 - after wearing the original version for many years (obviously buying new shoes every year!) Version 3 has ruined the beauty of the toe box which I found to have plenty of room and extreme comfort in the original version; and the shoe now runs slightly shorter but not enough for me to be able to fit into the next size up. I'm truly disappointed with NB as a whole as after more than 30 years wearing exclusively NB shoes, and trying a variety of other NB shoe styles, I have had no choice but to leave NB. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Please bring back the original 847!!

I wonder if New Balance really reads these reviews, because I see a lot of disappointing comments about this product. I Started out with the 1540's -wore it for years - until they messed with it-then I couldn't wait to get the new ones off my feet each day and returned them to the store. I went to the 847's for the past 2 years-I buy one pair a year. Until this year that is - they messed with it -they said they made minimal changes-not so, I can tell the difference in the support and the quality of material-it just isn't there. I've tried (thanks to my local NB store) other shoes with and without the roll bar, without success. Going through all this change has not only made my feet hurt worse, but now having low back issues as well. It's a pity NB can't accommodate us baby boomers AND keep shoes that we can wear AND accommodate the younger generations who want the latest styles. There needs to be a happy medium in order to keep loyal customers. Looks like I'll have to start trying other brands, or go get expensive custom orthotics, in order to continue working every day. And hopefully as the young NB Corp. folks age, they will be sympatric to feet issues and be more willing to accommodate and quit "re-designing" products that have proved themselves worthy over many years.

I have been wearing for many years. I loved every pair. I have tried many other brands but none have compare to NB. Except now they have made changes to the shoe. I feel the sole has different material then the past they are harder and now my feet and legs hurt after wearing them. I have had them for a year and keep wearing them on and off and they still cause pain. I can't any other brand that fit like the old versions.

Was looking forward to a new pair of new balance shoes. Been wearing them for years and have always loved them..maybe something happened in the manufacturing of this pair. It was completely throws my foot into the inside of the shoe. Funny it only was to the right foot. I'm ordering a replacement, just not this pair. Loyal customer

I had the store order them for me. Pretty but a terrible shoe. I have fallen arches and this shoe caved in on the inside arch, no support at all. I use the arch support plus from NB and the shoe still falls to the inside. No support at all. When I removed the in soles, they are so flimsy, not like any other that I bought from NB. They are going back to the store tomorrow. What a disappointment!

Heal began to rip within first 100 miles. When I contacted NB the reply "we would not recommend letting your shoes sit, unused, for any length of time. The shoes may become dry and brittle and start to break down. ". Figure I spent $1 per mile. Pervious versions were so much better built.
