FINALLY A SNEAKER THAT IS WIDE ENOUGH. I have very wide feet due to bunions, I was previously working with a diabetic sneaker that was EE, but even that started to feel tight. I tried EIGHT different sneakers that ranged from EE to 4E, and even the 4E sneakers weren't wide enough...until THIS ONE. It was helpful that other reviewers complained it was wider than expected, when I read that I thought bingo! The extra wide and spacious toe box is not a defect, it's a feature. Thank you New Balance for making a shoe that gives you lots of room. Also, awesome service from Zappos!

These shoes were decent looking & don't make my 9.5 feet look too big. They are able to accommodate my orthotics for my flat feet without hurting my bunions; I am extremely thankful for the very roomy toe box.

I am a New Balance fan. Wearing the 847v2 now, in two colors. Thought it was time to update. These are not the same shoe as the 847v2. They are painfully stiff, and much narrower and rigid in the arch area, even though the toe box was very wide and high. These were also rigid in the heel area. My feet immediately said "oh-no"! The opening is so narrow, it took many attempts to get my orthotics in without curling up at the toe, and I tried a few. This shoe seems more like a cheaper shoe than a New Balance shoe.

The Good - This is a sportive shoe with lots of room in the toe box. However they do run wide. I exchanged the medium width for a narrow and that was a much better fit. The Bad - The fabric on top of the toe is very stiff, and it hurt my toes when the crease would hit them while walking. Also, the scoop at the ankle was too tall, so there was rubbing. Had to return.

I have worn this shoe for many years, and this has to be the worst model yet. Always wore an 8 Wide, but these are HUGE. Way too long and wide. Very sloppy around the heel also. New balance has rally cheapened this shoe with using vinyl where it used to be leather. No impressed and will begin the search for a different brand of walking shoe. After 20 years or so of buying New Balance its time to say farewell.

I walk about 3-4 miles 4-5 time per week and need to upgrade to a good walking shoe. I ordered this model on line, and it was a perfect fit providing good support for my feet on concrete surfaces I walk on. As always the wide size option works great for me.

This shoe was the runner-up in my recent shopping experience. It felt very comfortable with lots of toe room. I simply preferred the New Balance 990v4 and am wearing it around town. I have worn New Balnce for dare I say 50 years.

I absolutely LOVE this shoe! This is my 6th pair - yes, 6th! I walk on a treadmill each day 2.5-3 miles a day. I never have any foot discomfort. I replace the shoe every 6-9 months. Then I wear them for daily stuff - including yard work! They are the best - Highly recommend!

I have bought and returned a half-dozen athletic/walking shoes in the last year, searching for a comfortable fit to replace my old New Balances. I think I have found it with these. I wear a 10 AA, and for some reason, none have been comfortable. These shoes feel good (except for one big toe; I will have the shoe stretched there). I was disappointed to learn that they're not leather, but I will keep them. Gorgeous they're not -- battleship gray -- but more comfortable than any I have tried on. It has been a long search!

Loved being able to get these in Narrow width! A little stiff at first, but softened up a little after wearing for a few days. True to size and width. Very little arch support. Removed it and added my Protalus inserts!

I have many problems with my feet including plantar fasciitis, bunions, and flat feet that requires me to wear orthotics. I wear a double wide shoe due to my fallen arches and bunions, but my heels do not need the width. This makes it extremely difficult to get shoes that are comfortable. I sent these shoes back since my heels are more narrow and the ball of my feet requires a double wide. My heel was slipping out a bit as I walked in these shoes.

These shoes are about the most comfortable I tried on however the color is unattractive (drab gray). I have a wide foot and need room in toe bed. These shoes fit the bill for that and have good padding. New Balance should offer more color options.

Very light and comfortable. Use these every day for work. Would buy and did buy again. Fabric on an earlier version wore out a little too soon.Hopefully these will wear better. Sole started coming apart but Garilla glue took care of that.

I have a wide foot with several toe issues and therefore need a more rounded and deeper toe box than other brands offer. These New Balance 847v3 fit the bill. They are comfortable, stylish (not the plain white or black), and allow for the use of orthotics if I decide to put them in (so far seems very comfortable without).

I'm an EKG tech and I am on my feet 13 hours a day.My feet were comfortable all day and I have had numerous foot surgeries so comfort is key for me. Love the colors, the design, and the support that these shoes provide. I will always buy these shoes and so glad they come in size 12! I'm a very happy customer!

I have really wide feet and have trouble finding comfortable yet supportive walking sneakers. These are perfect! Lightweight with plenty of cushioning.

I had this style before, and it wore extremely well. Therefore, this is the second pair, and I hope it wears as well as the last. It is a nice looking sneaker, and goes with everything.

These shoes are great if you have wide feet with bunions and crooked toes. This particular shoe is the only shoe I can wear and walk comfortably. Thanks to the mesh in the sides in the toe area, there is just enough give and stretch to make my walking comfortable. Please continue to make this particular shoe.

I really like these shoes. I bought my first pair last summer, and recently purchased a second pair in a different color. They provide both comfort and support.

I just filled this out and proceeded to delete it. So, assuming you never actually got it - here's my story again. I've been a daily walker, usually a couple of miles/day, for several years. Also have completed a number of 5K races with Rock' n Roll/Ironman. Finish time is always between 14 and15 mins/mile. Never more. Almost always won my division-women - ages 70-74. Now in the women ages 75-79 division and I'm still winning! Early on I had tried other shoes...FEH! There are no walking shoes better than these shoes. So, please don't stop making them.! But, now that I've told you all that - perhaps you can tell me why the list of NB products on your website does not even include the sport of walking or the availability of walking shoes. Makes no sense!

Always have worn New Balance, but first time wearing "walking shoes." My feet are very happy. Putting about 30 miles a week on them. Helping to alleviate my plantar fascitis. Well-made shoes and sizing was pretty true to size (perhaps a tad large). Easy recommendation. I will reorder these again, no doubt.
