I'm 5'4", 135 lbs, and ordered a sz 3/4 Short (my usual size), in the Black - they were way too tight and too short. I ordered Short, which was supposed to be a 30" inseam, but they were only 29". I had to return and reorder a size 5/6 in regular length, which is supposed to be 32". I forgot to measure these before washing them, but now they are 31" after washing. So be forewarned about length! They are a little tight when fresh out of the dryer, but they loosen to a perfect fit. Also, the black is a very deep, dark black - just what I wanted. Don't know how the color will hold up after multiple washings, but I will wash them inside-out to hopefully reduce the fade.
Also, as usual for Wrangler bootcut jeans, in short & regular lengths their bootcut looks more like a bellbottom. Maybe if you're really tall it looks ok. 17-1/2" width is just too big. Luckily, I sew so I can narrow that bellbottom to a more flattering width (usually about 16"). I can't imagine any woman has a boot so big around that they need a 17-1/2" flare.

I'm 5'4", 135 lbs, and ordered a sz 3/4, in the MS Wash - they fit perfectly around the hips. A little tight when fresh out of the dryer, but they loosen to a perfect fit. Unless you have time to 'line dry' your jeans, you have to go a size longer then you would normally wear. 34 are usually perfect for me (I'm 5'10''), but I had to go with 36 to make up for the shrinkage. I really could have used a '35'.

I usually wear a size 8 so took a gamble and ordered 9. They fit perfectly. But I am concerned about the length. I ordered a 34, which are normally great with heeled boots. These are right now, but worried how they will be after washing. They are the desired 'after washing' length right now. Hoping they don't shrink too much.

They are ok but when you get use to wearing the no gap waistband on your other wrangler jeans it's hard to get use too. I do like the different styles of these that's why I bought them.

begging for a restock on the Madison style. My absolute favourite from the whole line, they fit slightly slimmer than the other three styles I have (KM, WR, DW) they're all excellent, but the Madisons are the first ones I reach for! Super durable, minimal shrinkage. I'll probably end up with every wash before long

Good fit, size with change with fabric types, so read label in description of products. I wear a 6 in super stretchy jeans and a 9 in these more durable less stretchy wranglers great jeans for horseback riding, nice length to stack

Love the initial fit on the Mae mid-rise! I've worn Wranglers for years. Mostly 18MWZ's with the tapered leg that fits perfectly over boots in a 34 inseam. These are a little wider with the boot cut and seem to run a little long, so I've been turning the hems under about an inch. I hope/expect they will shrink some with additional washings. Have a tendency to get looser with prolonged wear. I might buy some more one size smaller to compensate for the stretch.

These jeans, model 09MWZMB, fit me perfectly! I own two older pairs of 100% denim model 09MWZEF in size 7/8 and every pair fits perfectly. These new stretch jeans felt smaller when I first put them on but with stretch they feel and look great. The bias-cut waist band is very comfortable. Wrangler would do better to list the sizes as labeled on pants, as in 7/8. I would wear an 8 in other brands. I'm 5'2" and weigh 136-140. These are not junior sized!

Love the jeans but they are longer than 30" which is what I ordered so I will need to taken them to a tailor to have them hemmed. However, the fit is great so they are keepers. Again, Lori R. was the online customer service rep that assisted in selecting a couple pair of jeans to replace the first order which were too large. Lori was super and stayed on the phone with me until we found just the right two pair of jeans. Thank you Lori R.

I tried Q Baby , Shiloh and these Retros and the Retros were my favorite. I'm going to get more. They were just right for my curves and have just enough stretch. Definitely a winner.

The fit and look is good, I was surprised after reading reviews. Only problem is I don't care for worn faded look. Make a pair of jean and like that look take place on it's own.

VERY comfortable with good fit. Like them a lot. Just got them so I don't know how they will wear but I'm sure if I wash them as directed, they'll be fine. I just ordered 2 more pairs !!

I didn't know what size to purchase. I ordered a 7 with a 30" inseam. I am 5'1 around 135lbs. This size is a little big in the waist, but rest of the fit is perfect. Very pleased! I might buy a size 5 just to see.

I ordered 34" inseam, they were a bit too short in the legs.

....I wish they came in shorter lengths than 34". These jeans fit really well, and I have several pairs of them. But with each pair I buy, I have to spend more money to get them shortened. For some reason I just can't determine, Wrangler seems to think women are either tall and thin or short and stout. They haven't figured out that there are those of us who are short and thin. That's why this isn't a 5-star review.

The denim used to be thicker and more durable.
I will still buy Wrangler but I like the old style better

I am new to Wranglers. Sizing is not consistent. Two pair of the same size on the tag will fit completely differently. Best to buy in-store so you can find your best fit. Cost me extra to return them. Lesson learned with buying Wranglers online.

I bought them for my granddaughters birthday. She'll love them I'm sure as she picked them out! I probably won't buy them again as they are so expensive and I'm on a fixed income.

Have gotten a couple pairs of jeans in the retro bootcut and these are the only ones that the fit is off. They are baggy in the butt and thighs.

I have these jeans in multiple colors, all in a 30x36 size. I wish there was more consistency in the production process, because each cut and color varies a bit in size and inseam length. For example, the Kayla in the 30x36 stretches out so much I wish I had bought a 29x36. The Kayla is a true mid rise jean. On the other hand, the Sierra cut is very tight and much more low rise than I would like, so I actually had to return them. I was very disappointed to have to pay a return fee for jeans that were advertised as mid rise when they are more of a low rise.
Overall, the Mae Bootcuts are really cute and get the job done, but beware that each color may have its own sizing and inseam variations. I wish there was more consistency in the waist size, inseam and waist rise. I have found better size consistency in the Willow Ultimate Riding Jean.

I have been wearing this style jeans in the KM wash for a few years now. I ordered three pairs and they are very different. One is the old style, the other two new. Coloring is different along with waist sizing, pockets are bigger and higher up on the butt, further apart. If you have a small rear it's not flattering. Wrangler should say something when they change the style but keep the same name/color.

The mid rise isn't necessarily mid. The rise in the rear is very high and did not work for my physique. Just didn't love the way they looked.
