Love the comfort and durability! Great shoe. Would buy again.

I'm pretty sure I'm in love. I've been going through different brands and models of hiking shoes/boots trying to find one that finally doesn't beat my feet up. I live in far west Texas, where it's a mixture of scree, jagged rocks, hard pack dirt, and sand. You really need a "jack of all trades" boot for hiking out here. Up until this point, other brands have just been leaving me limping by the end of my 6-8 mile hikes through the desert. I bought these because I've read that the arch support is exceptional, and that's what most of my footwear has been missing. I took a leap of faith and ordered them offline without getting to try them on. Right out of the box, just putting them on in my house, I was almost smiling. They are extremely comfortable. The arch support is definitely there. So far I have worn them for about 20 miles of hiking over 3 different day hikes (I use hiking for exercise, so just stick to 3-4 hour hikes a few times a week,) so I can't officially comment on the durability of the upper or outsole, but for performance and comfort, they are kicking butt so far. The only minor complaint I have is that I wish the aero version came in more colors. I know looks are the least important aspect for hiking footwear, but I just am not digging the aero's looks, so I bought the GTX; which having mentioned that I live in the desert, I do have to spray my feet with antiperspirant deodorant to avoid sweating a gallon of water into my shoes. So I will either get over the looks aspect, or keep my fingers crossed that Salomon updates the aero version soon. Regardless - kudos, Salomon. I don't think I'll need to try another brand again.

J'ai rcemment utilis cette botte pour ma randonne au mont Lafayette. L'adhrence tait au rendez-vous, et ce, mme sur cette neige qui recouvrait tout le sentier. Cette botte est trs confortable et trs lgre. J'ai eu les pieds humides seulement par la neige qui entrait entre mon bas et la botte (une gutre aurait pu viter cela). Un bon laage fait toute la diffrence!

Ich hatte schon das Vorgngermodell und bin auch von diesem hier begeistert. Sehr bequemer Schuh, der trotzdem stabil ist. Mit dem Schuh kann man echt problemlos groe Wanderungen machen.

These boots are the most comfortable pair of boots I have ever owned! On bit of advise, always buy one size bigger than you wear in every thing else.

I have been a firm believer i Salomon hiking boots for the last two decades, and the Ultra 3 Mids don't not disappoint. Well constructed but very light. And like always, fit like a glove right out of the box!

I have had these boots for a few months now and I love them. I have taken them out in snow, rain, mud and dry conditions and they have exceeded my expectations every time. I have recommended these to a few of my friends and they all love them as well! These boots fit the same as all other salomon footwear that I have worn - so if you know your size for salomon shoes, that'll work for this!

I've had these for about 2 months and they are great. I wear them at work for about 10 hours a day, and my feet feel great at the end of the day. I haven't hiked in them yet, but the mud and water I've been in, I've had great traction and they have been completely water proof. They look great and are made very well, I highly recommend.

Most comfortable boot/shoe I own. From the first time I put them on they made my feet, knees, hips and back happy. Best gear I've bought in a long time.

I purchased these for my new job. I needed a pair of black shoes/boots and I would be walking in town, urban neighborhoods and suburban neighborhoods. Many of the neighbors I walk around in are in rough shape, with missing and broken sidewalks, small sink holes and a lot of debris and trash. In the past month I've had a half dozen times I would have twisted or sprained an ankle due to broken pavement, ice slick streets and unkempt yards and sidewalks. The X Ultra 3 Mid's have kept me injury free and warm and dry. I mainly got these for the winter months as I love my X Ultra 3 hiking shoes, but will continue to where the Mid's for their comfort and protection from ankle injuries.

These are my go to light hiker for work or soft terrain when I expect rain. They are quite breathable for a GoreTex bootie and offer good support for being just a mid. These aren't designed to be an alpine boot or a boot for 50+lb packs. But for day hikes/hunts or general everyday use they are perfect. There is a much more breathable non-GoreTex version of this boot I wear in the summer when rain or ground water won't be an issue.

I've been waiting for this series to come out in wide for quite some time. This does not disappoint. it's comfortable Enough to wear around town but sturdy and durable enough to wear on the trail with all the support you'd expect.

i bought these two years ago and put them though over 1200 km of rocky baron terrain in newfoundland but mine had the studded bottoms can i still get them studded cant seem to find them and i want another pair

I've had these a little over a year and am planning to buy an extra pair. These fit my feet perfect and needed no break in period. I have taken them all over the white mountains in NH in all seasons. Great product!
