Given the shaft length, mobility around the ankle joint seems difficult, especially when driving a car when one has to flex the ankle backwards. Yet to figure out if I am tying the laces too tight at the top of the shaft. Shoe quality looks fantastic though. Got to figure out if there’s a better way to tie my laces, or, just these shoes aren’t for me - to be decided.

Amazing boots! Details and finishing on these is great. The bison leather has a unique and really nice looking texture to it. Leather is dark black, thick, and soft (softer than cow leather since bison leather is not stretched during tanning like cow leather is). The leather soles are a little stiff and will probably need some wears to break in but the bison leather is soft and comfortable immediately. No pain, rubbing, or other unpleasantness. Comes with two sets of laces - waxed and leather. Style is amazing. A little more dressy than something like Red Wing Iron Rangers or Blacksmiths but still retain the “work book” roots I was looking for. The toe looks more upturned in photos than in person. In person they look wonderful. I wear them with chinos and jeans and both work well. Love these boots.

When you put on a dress shoe and it feels like an old friend, you know you've got a great quality shoe!! These shoes were comfortable day one and I absolutely love them!!! 10 out of 10 recommend!!! I'm a bit of a shoe snob if you will. I don't own many pairs and I only wear shoes that I like both in looks and fit. These shoes are my #1 go to for my nights out on the town or anything formal.

I purchased the black Bison style of these boots, and they are very good. They seem to be true to size, but maybe a tiny bit big. Since you can cinch them as tight as you want, I can firm my feet up from sliding around. I purchased 10.5 D and that's the current tennis shoe size I wear.

I am well pleased with these boots. The quality is excellent. True to size and extremely comfortable with a short break in period. I purchased the whiskey brown and will purchase the black when available in my size.

I love these boots. They are comfortable and nice enough to wear to the office. I only wish they had them in Brown too. I would buy those too.

These have become my favorite shoes to wear to work. Great quality and comfort. I only wish they were still available in brown so I could buy that pair too.

These look even better in person and fit great. They aren't very tactical though I would have a hard time fighting with these boots, there's not much grip.

I went on a search for a high quality cap-toe leather boot a month ago and kept coming back to these. There isn't enough information online for them and Ariat Western retailers do not carry them. I went with the Whiskey Bison and yes- they do actually look like the boots in the photos. The craftsmanship, welt stitching and out of the box comfort are everything you won't find in other production boots. They are dressy and casual, come with leather and black waxed cotton laces. Fit is dress shoe wear-true. I wear a 9D in dress shoes and went with a 9.5D since that's what I wear in Ariat western boots. I'll be ordering another pair since they're a bit too long in the toe box for me.

After I watched Rose Anvil take these apart on YouTube I was impressed enough to order a pair. I've had the brown pair for over 6 months now, and I'm impressed enough that I've ordered them in black. The brown pair have been on my feet from Ohio to Atlanta and to the beach's of Belize and they still look new. They're comfortable enough for travel, and stylish enough for nights out.

I was a big Frye boots fan, but these Ariats are just something special. The leather is very supple and soft right out of the box. No real breakout period was needed. Love the natural texture!

I patiently waited for my size of this to come back in stock, and was delighted to see their beauty and quality when it arrived. The black boots are very similar to the photo, with an upper that is semi-soft leather, and very comfortable. The included thick leather shoelaces also lended a feel of ruggedness and gave the look a bit of an edge. Love em. Love em. Love. Happy with my purchase 100%.

I was expecting a long break in time, But it's a very nice fit !! I have a high arch + lil wide foot. I still can't believe how they feel...I purchased brown ones. I'm almost ready to get a black pair as well, cuz of comfort I truly can't explain!!

Can anyone comment on the durability of the leather soles, it's the only thing holding me back from purchasing. Wish there was a rubber sole option like many of your other boots.

These boots are very nice at this price point. The detail is nice, the bison is of very good quality. I choose to use the waxed cooton laces as they remain tied a bit easier for me.

These things are top notch, both construction quality, fit and style. These are some of the nicest shoes I've ever had and I've had a lot of nice expensive shoes. These stand out.

These boots are great, I got the brown bison color and could feel the quality from when I first put them on. They have a roomy fit so size down if you have a narrow foot.

These boots are absolutely splendid! Well made, stylish, truecto suze, and very comfortable, even for a long day. Time will tell if they are as durable as they appear - and they had better be, for the price!!!!

This review is for Two24 Highlands whiskey bison colored boots purchased mid-June of 2021. These are comfy and the construction is high quality; no problems there. I like them. However, I don't love them and I will be returning them for the following reason, the color and texture of the leather does not match the photos. In the photos, the boots have a deep redish hue to them and in reality, that redish hue is far more nuanced. It's in there, but they look far more brown than red. Frankly, they look far more like the color of whisky as their name implies than in the photos. I would say that in the photos, the dominant color is red, with black accents and that the red has some brown mixed in it. Looking at them in person, the dominant color is whisky brown with black accents and the brown has some red mixed in. They look nice, but are not what I thought I was getting. Also, the texture of the leather is not as pictured. From top to bottom, there are 6 main cuts of leather on the uppers of the boot that I will address, the top left, top right, the "achilles strip" on the back, the heel, the midfoot, and the toe piece (I am no expert in the names, and I hope you follow what I'm talking about with those names). The top left, top right, and achilles strip pieces all have a similar "dimpling" texture to the leather as pictured. However, in the picture, it looks like the individual "dimples" are rather large, somewhat similar in size to some snake skin that I've seen, and with the boots I got, the size of the dimples is much smaller. So it has a similar texture, but it's NOT the same. Also, in the photos that same texture to the leather is more or less reflected in the midfoot, and toe pieces. However, in the boots I got, the leather is far smoother. There is a slight bit of texture to it with much smaller dimples, but it is very nuanced and simply looks nothing like the photos. From a texture perspective, the heel piece from the photo and my heel piece are similar enough for me to say I have no complaints there. Basically, it looks as though in the photos, they added a reddish hue to the color and then turned up the contrast so that every bit of texture is accented, but my boots do NOT look that way. It looks like very different leather overall and very different die/color/polish. You have to look far more closely to see the texture, and the leather texture itself is just made of far more smaller "dimples" and does not have the large dimpling that the leather pictured has. The boots in the photos look stunning and I could not pass them up. The boots in my hand look good, and I like them, but I can and will pass them up. Pictures are attached and are all taken in natural light on an overcast day (so more blueish light than yellow light). Lastly is sizing. I find them to be sized a bit big. It's always tough to compare sizing for boots and sneakers. In Nikes, Vans, and Asics, I wear an 11.5 mens. In Converse, I wear either a 10.5 (Chucks) or an 11 (One Stars). In Double H boots, I wear either a 10 or 10.5. I bought an 11.5 in these and would have needed to send them back because they are too large by about a half size or slightly more. I *think* an 11 would have worked for me, but maybe a 10.5 might be right (not 100% sure).
