I'm 5'11, 175 lbs and i chose the large. It's roomy but allows me to wear an insulating layer. The medium was a bit too slim for me. Nice cuffs and good, nice profile too. Really needs a two way zipper, come on guys! I'm looking into retrofitting, this is essential in my mind and prevents me from recommending the coat. I would also like to see side slits to allow access to pant pockets. Breast pocket is nice and discreet but could be bigger.

this sounds like a broken record from what everyone else is saying but it absolutely needs a 2 way zipper with how narrow it fits. it's a nice looking coat and i got it to be worn with jeans or a suit - and it can be, but it is just so restrictive without a zipper at the bottom. arcyertx replies with the same robot after every review.... just... fix it. i'd buy one in each color. also, if you want to layer at all, you may need to size up. with a blazer underneath it was very tight.

I got this urban hardshell in size Large to go with Atom AR/LT. (also larges) I really wanted standard pockets, vs the chest placed pockets. The chest zip was also a bonus. Overall, it has performed well as a rain-jacket, and bad-weather layer. The fit for me is fine, I'm 5'8" with ~41" chest. An ATOM AR fits fine under it, but a big puffy will be way too tight. I agree with the other reviewers, a 2-way zip would have been a welcome addition to this coat. It is a loud coat! The backing on the material doesn't feel like clammy plastic. One thing I don't like is the snaps instead of velcro on the sleeves. First, one of the snaps broke. :( Second, the snaps are fixed with 2 position options vs. velcro where you can vary the size more.

This coat would be excellent, 5 stars, if it had a two way zipper. This massive design flaw should be fixed asap.

Bought this a year ago, not happy with the zipper. Should be a 2 way, I always have to undo the zip to sit in the car, on the bus, anywhere. For an around town coat/jacket it is a bit cumbersome.
