I love these boots, however - Zappos, Dr. Martens or whoever has the responsibility for sizing these, you’ve got to know that a US men’s 10 is NOT a US women’s 11. A US men’s 9 would be a US women’s 11. I made the mistake of buying the size 10 because it said it would be a women’s 11 but it’s definitely a size too big and now my size is out of stock. It’s ok, I love the boots and they will have to suffice for now. One thing I think would help is a steel shank for stability but these don’t have any sort of shank or reinforcement under the arch. Still, great boots, good purchase. The leather is beautiful, the steel toe is a good shape and size, the sole is grippy and stable, the pull-on feature is convenient and comfortable. I would buy them again.

This is my second pair of DM’s for work. I purchased the fusion for my first pair and loved everything aside from the insoles which I immediately changed, and some minor quality issues at their midlife. I just received the Fellsides and the insoles are much improved along with general craftsmanship. I’m on day 1 so no complaints as of now. If I feel anything is worth updating I will do so.

My husband thinks he's the bomb in his steel toe Docs, and I admit, even for work boots they're pretty cool and cute. He wears a size 9.5, but these only came in UK whole sizes. He tried an 8 but they were too small, then tried a 9 and it fits perfectly. Cannot recommend them highly enough.

I love these boots. I bought these because I've had a pair of Dr Martens 2976 Chelsea boots for years, but they've always felt about a half size too small (because they are...Docs don't come in half sizes so I originally went one size smaller...with a US size 10). My larger foot measures between a 10.5 and 11 on a Brannock device (my smaller foot is a size 10). I chose a US size 11 for the Fellside. They're just slightly large, but I did try a US size 10, and they were just too small. In terms of width, they're generous, but I wouldn't say that they're not true to size. I ended-up ordering a pair of Dr Martens Comfort Insoles directly from Dr Martens, and they took up enough space that my new boots are comfortable. I also wear wool socks with boots, so that helps as well. When you look for sizing advice online, the general rule is always to size down with Docs when you're in between sizes - this may work for some folks, with some styles, but I've never had much luck doing so. I'd go up a size and add a good insole. The Fellside has a generous toe box, which is something I was looking for. My standard 2976 Chelsea boots have a pretty narrow toe box..the Fellside gives me enough room to comfortably wiggle my toes, which is important to me. In terms of the style and quality of the boots, they're really nice. The quality seems great, and the leather is thick with a nice finish (just like the photos - not glossy, and not totally matte either). I get the sense that these boots will last a LONG time. The grippy inserts are great too, as Docs have a tendency to be a bit slippery on wet surfaces...not a problem with the Fellside boots. The steel toe makes these boots a bit heavy, but it also makes them usable as a motorcycle boot in a pinch, which is also something I was looking for. I'm a huge fan of Docs, and these boots feel a little bit more like they used to. If you've seen or tried the Made in England line, these lean a little more that way than the standard core line...built to last for years and years.

Very stylish, very comfortable, a bit heavy but when you wear them a few times they don’t feel as heavy

Just a little big, but I don't feel like I'm sliding around in them with the ankle support. They're a great size to wear with thick socks though. The bouncing sole is incredible comfortable. I'm a big fan! I've been wanting docs for a while, and the price on these were great so I went for it, totally worth it!

The fit and size are as stated on the website and are true. I work in an industrial bearing plant and experience oil, grease, cutting fluid, coolant and other liquids that create a slippery work environment. The boots don't get slick and feel solid when walking around. They are very supportive to wear for 8+ hours during the workday.

Narrower than I could stand. Had to return them.

These were great for probably the first month, after that they began to completely deteriorate. By month 4 with light to moderate use the soles were barely hanging on. The soles were so bad by the 9 month mark that I had to throw the boots away because walking through even the most shallow puddle resulted in a soaking wet sock. The quality just isn’t there for the price, this is the last pair of DMs I will own. I would urge anyone that needs a reliable work boot to look elsewhere.

Surprisingly comfortable! Walking on air! No issues with breaking them in, I ordered true to my size and this fit was great.

The steel toe rubs against my left foot more than my right, so I have to wear 2 pairs of socks on that foot to be comfortable, but other than that they are great!

I purchased these for work, The fit was perfect I’m a size 8 in most shoes/boots and went with the size 8 on these, and they fit perfectly, they’re very breathable I feel like these are good to wear outside of work as well.

A work boot that is more comfortable than work shoes. They don't even feel like steel toe boots. Super comfortable to work in Amazon warehouse for a 10 hour shift while looking stylist at the same time! They also slip on very easy and seem to be built with high quality materials.

I love this shoe, it's the perfect fit for me. Although its a boot it's really comfortable, I highly recommend if you are into being fashionable and safe at the same time while working.

Wonderful pull on work boots! I need the steel toes, love the styling, and appreciate the "easy on/easy off" feature. I perfect new work boot for shop use on a concrete floor.

I bought these for my boyfriend who wears a 10.5. He’s a diesel mechanic and goes through a pair of Docs about once a year. He usually gets the Furness boots and I grabbed these by accident but he really likes them. At first he was worried the tops were too tight but he said they feel great.

Ordered a larger size that did not fit. Zappos sent me another one that fit perfectly before I even sent the 1st one back. Thank you for the great service!
