Great looking shoe and super comfortable.

I had a pair of 4E New Balance running shoes and it was the first pair of shoes that ever fit me right. These were on sale and I ordered the same size and width and was not disappointed. They fit exactly as expected and have been very easy to break-in as I get back into running. Comfortable, affordable, true to size.

Purchased for my dad for fathers day. He said they were very comfortable.

These were too narrow, and smaller than normal, must return them.

Fit well, very light and stylish. But there is almost no arch support. However, my 4E sneakers are wide enough to take my wide orthotics, so I should be ok. The heel cup is not as high as my other NB sneakers (less support?), hopefully this will not prove to be a problem. Overall, these are keepers.

I really liked this shoe however with my VERY wide left foot (6E) and a hammertoe it just did not work, unfortunately. Not a high enough toe box and material would not stretch enough in the width. My feets fault, not the shoe:(

My special needs sister has a very wide foot-wears a men's size 7 4E; this shoe has almost a unisex look, and she is very happy with the look of the shoe as well as the comfort and fit. Thank you as always for your prompt, speedy service!

I have wide feet, and the medium is working for me. Comfortable to run and workout in.

Very nice fitting shoe. So nice I bought a second pair.

Sizing was goo, but the shoe is really narrow compared to my other running/walking shoes. Will not make this mistake again. Back to the Brooks Beast for this big guy!

I ordered NB men's New Balance 420v4, arrived in three days (day 1 being Sunday). - Zappos famous Fazt Zervice. The shoes, however, were not near so impressive being only acceptable. Previous NB models were perfect for my need. I did not need true running shoes so decided on this rather deconstructed casual model in 11/4E. The size was correct, just a bit over in width but not problematic. The New Balance 420v4 is light weight, but be aware that these are not totally, 360-degree supportive enough to be what I consider true running shoes, from which the 420 gets its 'inspiration'. I would not look forward to running at all in these shoes, but I bought them only as a very casual look-alike. Caveats: Read about the materials and construction, just mesh and laces, no heel counters to speak of, barely-there bumpers. For the price and lack of really good support...just what I wanted.

These are lightweight and true to size. I wear a wide width and they were comfortable right out of the box. Support is fine, but I wish there was more padding. Brooks have spoiled me.

Bought these to see if New Balance had returned to building and selling quality shoes under $100 like they used to in the early 2000's. The answer, at least with this shoe, is NO!! NB seems to still be cutting corners on build quality and materials on the lower end (sub $100-shoe). I wear a 14 4E in the other athletic shoe brand in this size category (Rhymes with basics). In that brand, a 4E is what I would consider true to size. I really need a 6E, but the selection at that width is usually very limited. These NB "4E" shoes are true to length, but way way way NOT TRUE TO WIDTH; resulting in that odd feeling of the shoe insert edges underneath your feet. These NB 4E are more along the lines of standard (D) or borderline narrow (B). TL;DR New Balance disappoints me again after a 5 year hiatus. Will not buy again. Shoes built very poorly. The 4E is really a D or B.

Perfect color I'm looking for. Ordered one size larger since most athletic shoes run small, but one size larger was still too small. I even tried one shoe on with a dress sock. While the sole is soft the insert it's paper thin with no arch support or cushioning. Disappointed and returning immediately.

Way to tight

the bed of the shoe is lumpy and it constantly feels as if there is something in your shoe definitely would not recommend.

Hating this shoe right now and can’t return. Whenever I walk, it seems to fall to the inside part of the foot which to me, shows no reinforcement. When I walk, it feels like the back of the shoe is going to pop off and my shoe is tied VERY tightly. Losing faith in shoe making in today’s manufacturing.

Too small of a toe bed. It would great if you could track which sneakers are best for those that need a full and wide too bed. Some New Balance fit great and others are too narrow in 4W.

I've only had these for a month and the right shoe has a tear in it. Not a good shoe for basketball or racquetball. Maybe just some running.
