I was pleasantly surprised by this pair and the size I chose. I could’ve went with a 11 but I’d rather have a little more room than not have enough. The style is awesome, simple and easygoing. It’s my first pair of vans but most likely not my last.

I loved this shoe. Had to send back because I ordered a man's size in 101/2. I reordered the shoe in a size 9. I believe it will be true to size. Comfortable. It's also a cute shoe. Just to run around in. It will look cute with jeans and t-shirts, shorts, & skirts. I forgot I was ordering in a man's size. It has a removable cushion. But it's not real cushy. If you wanted more cushion you could always replace the removable Cushion. As always Zappos was great.

I love these vans ! I got a size 8&1/2. I usually get a 9 in men's. These fit perfectly. They feel great & very comfortable. Zappos is great !! They make a return so simple. And they deliver super fast !!

I haven’t worn them yet but when I tried them on I was pleasantly surprised but sadly the shoelaces seem too short but otherwise great style and look for my first pair of vans “wish me luck”

These are bought for my son who is an avid skateboarder. We got size Men's 8 and they fit very nice. Shipping time was totally awesome. they came in like 3 days and we were surprised that they came so quickly. He is very happy with them and says they are very comfortable.

I bought these for my husband for Valentines Day and he loves them. The style is fantastic. He’s been wearing them for a few days now and his only complaint is that he wished he had exchanged them for a half size larger. He’s already worn them so can’t exchange. He’s been using a shoe stretcher which sorta helps so he only wears them for short periods of time. So I would suggest ordering a half size up. I have these shoes in another color and I had to order a half size up as well. But the style.... A+!

So... I’ve been wearing vans a long time. This is the first pair that I bought a 10.5 and needed a 10 instead. Not sure what that’s about. Otherwise, I love the style 36/old skool, I just opted for the rubber toe because my toe usually pops through the toes after about two months and my wife is tired of me looking like a clown. So... yeah. A little too big. I’ve got another pair on the way in a 10. We’ll see if they fit. Maybe I’m shrinking in my old age!

I love the style of these shoes -- they're incredible! I'm extremely happy that I jumped on the opportunity to purchase when I had the chance. The flames do something to the shoe that sets it off real nice, so S/O to Zappos for coming through! Now, time for some reviewing! This is my first time wearing this particular model, and I'm excited to start breaking them in. After the first wear, in terms of sizing, these shoes fit pretty true to size -- but you may want to strongly consider getting a half-size up, due to the capping rubber on the toe. Noticing that this model mimics a lot of the Old Skool model (which usually feature quite a bit of suede throughout), they tend to arrearages more -- taking more form with the foot. But with the capping featured on the Decon, that's almost absent. So, it's good to know that. Moreover, for the width of the shoe, there's quite a bit of room to maneuver in. Knowing that this model carries with it the UltraCush insoles, for me personally, I feel that they make up for extra room -- providing a perfectly, snug fit. I'm not sure if this is what Vans intends for models that carry the UltraCush, but it's a really smart move. Other than that, there are a few minor specifications to mention -- taller sole, smaller toe-cap design, more eyelets, and thicker laces. All in all, I'm really impressed by the advanced design of th shoe and how it differs from other models that I usually sport. It's a good and well-needed change of scenery. Thanks to both Vans and Zappos for providing an awesome shoe, and I can't wait for the next one!

Shoes arrived on time. Vans have always been my go to shoe, this pair looks great but has a pretty noticeable problem. I get the feeling these might be a factory second, or at least they should be. One of the soles on the shoes looks like it’s the wrong size, too small (see photo) I am hoping it was just a mistake and that Zappos is not selling factory seconds to paying customers.

Fit and size are great, like the shoes and the rubber over toes so you can't wear through them. But they click and make noise from insole popping up over the little lip that is suppose to keep them down. That sucks because I love that I can take out insole and wash them so this was going to be go to shoes. Couldn't attach video I took because it's not MP4 format. Gotta wear them until I can order another pair.

These feel almost a full half size larger than the 9.5's I ordered. The left shoe is so loose that to get a good fit both of the lace sides meet and it bunches at the toe. This will not be good at all if they stretch a little through wear. As with a majority of my Vans purchases over the last couple of years the heels slip like crazy and it sounds like I'm farting when I'm walking. It's getting to the point with all of the styles that I'm ready to give up on Vans after 25+ years. Other than the style there is no way I can recommend these to anyone, and since I've worn them outside I can't return them.
