Shoes are nice, they fit small in my opinion and seemed narrow. Purchase and return process was easy and quick.

Received these today after the last drainmakers grew holes in the toes. The last ones were awesome and had almost a neoprene type "stretch" to them that I liked very much. These are very tight in the upper and like another reviewer wrote, made my mid foot and pinky toe not happy. Huge difference for the worse for me.

i have been a 7.5 in columbia shoes. some are a smidge longer. and that is ok by me. for me, this one, 7.5, felt about a half inch to an inch longer. i recommend to size down.

I was disappointed as I was expecting a true mesh upper. My feet burn continually and I hoped they could breathe with a true mesh but the mesh is backed with another material which cuts the air and water flow.

Overall it's a well constructed shoe and I think they will be Very durable for years to come. However, two flaws that I found on my first weekend wearing them- they do drain very quickly as advertised, but it takes literally all day for the shoe to dry out. My UA Kilchis water shoes dry out in a fraction of the time. I also had trouble keeping the shoes tied. I had to retie them several times over the weekend.

Bought these for river fishing and kayaking. Took them to BWCA for a 5 day trip, they protected my feet from the rocks, bottom and sides. The way the tongue is sewn in allowed debris and rocks in the top, which can be expected to a degree. However, the stitching for the tongue caused a cut on both knuckles(?) above my big toe. I can't wear these anymore.

This is a great looking shoe, it provides ample drainage to make it an excellent choice for through-hikers and cushioning seems more than adequate. Although I really wanted to love this shoe, it was too narrow for me to be able to use and I had to return them. Although I have never needed a wide sized shoe before, I had to loosen the laces to a point where the tongue didn't quite cover the top of my foot and the laces were too short to be usable. Even loosened like this, they were still extremely restrictive in the toe box. I think if these shoes were available in wide, they might be perfect. Length was pretty normal however, so sizing up wouldn't be an option for me.

I've been wearing the Drainmaker III for three years when kayaking and fishing and loved it. The Drainmaker IV was on sale so I got a pair. The shoes are definitely narrower than the Drainmaker III, as a result, the sides rub up against my pinkie toes. The length is fine, both the old and new pairs are size 10.5, but the width of the IV is much narrower. There was also room in the older pair for a pair of 0.5mm neoprene socks for cold days, I don't think the new pair has space for that. I'm not sure I'll keep the Drainmaker IV.

So I purchased this shoes hoping that I can get it soaking wet in a river and get dried quickly as the day goes by. Well I did get the shoes in the water and cold rainy weather.. but they never get dried even after 1 day stay inside a house. maybe they needs a heater to get them dry. but yeah.. not user how to properly use these shoes now.

These shoes did not met my expectations. The laces were so short that they would barely tie (with a very small bow). While I was not expecting great cushioning in a water shoe, these failed to meet even my lowered expectations. However, the sizing seemed to run true. They have been returned.

I like Columbia's boat shoes & own 6 pairs of various styles. I liked the color & the drain design of these. But they run extremely narrow. These are for narrow feet only. Disappointed I couldn't wear these and returned them same day.

The tongue is narrower than the previous model, allowing debris into your shoes, they are also a tad bit shorter for size

They are very narrow, I wish they had these in a wide. I wore them once I can not wear them again, love the design and idea but just not a fit for me.

Purchased a 7. Fit is off. Length felt longer than the usual Columbia 7(mens). The uppers were a bit stiff + narrow. Took it for a lil hike to slowly break it in. My feet were unhappy. Shoes were pinching/poking pinky toes. Adjusted the laces + checked socks (in case it was one of the issues). Nope. It was the shoes. Traction ... it was grippy. Can I return this?

Just two days ago, I would have given these shoes an excellent rating across the board but the laces pulled through the shoe's eyelet. Very disappointing in that they didn't last 4 months and I only wore them about 10 times. I will say I'm a huge fan of Columbia gear in general, but these shoes didn't hold up to light/ moderate usage.
